Corrupt Evil Man Dies, Liberals Mourn

Congressman Jack Murtha died last week, leaving America a better place. There, we said it! No squeamish preemptive apologetics. The Democrat from Pennsylvania, chairman of  the House defense appropriation subcommittee, was a power-hungry megalomaniac. Nancy Pelosi will miss him.

In John Murtha: Requiem for a corruptocrat, Michelle Malkin wrote:

We are not supposed to speak ill of the dead. But those whom the deceased viciously smeared and humiliated deserve to be defended. Entrenched Democrat Rep. John Murtha passed away on February 8 after a botched gall bladder surgery. He has been hailed as a “military advocate” (Associated Press) and “one of the greatest patriots ever to serve in Congress” (former Democratic congressman Harold Ford). These obsequious obituaries leave out inconvenient truths:

John “Jack” Murtha was an unrepentant smear merchant and corruptocrat to the bitter end.

He stole from taxpayers to enrich himself and his political friends. In 1980, he was taped negotiating bribes with FBI operatives. They get to the actual bribe in part three below, but if you have the time watch the whole gory affair. This is how Congress works. Read more >

Future Senator Speaks Well, Looks Great

Scott Brown shows them how it is done. When a loony Liberal “journalist” throws you a loaded question with a biasing preamble, attack the preamble, attack the journalist, don’t let it stand. Sarah Palin failed to attack in the Couric and Gibson interviews and she paid for it.

Conservatives must approach each interview as a no-holds-barred battle for survival in which journalists are the enemy and the political opponent is just a prop. Read more >

Offer Penis to Get New Job

Questions:  Quick. On which Israeli national holiday did Ophir Pines resign from politics?

Answer:  Any day in which Ophir Pines resigns from politics is an Israeli national holiday!

Ophir Pines is a politician whom I really love to hate. He is an obnoxious leftist McCarthyist. He led the Labor Party’s campaign against freedom of speech for anti-Oslo dissidents. After Rabin’s assassination, Pines led each and every Labor Party attempt to indict members of the political opposition for supposedly being collectively guilty of Rabin’s death, and he led the camp claiming that exercise of freedom of speech by Right-wingers was what ultimately produced the Rabin assassination. He repeatedly filed court petitions against Righists expressing opinions.

Pines was considered until yesterday, when he resigned from the Knesset, to be the up-and-coming Young Turk, the Bonnie Prince Churly, and next-generation-leader of the Labor Party. He had come in at the very top of Labor Party internal primaries. This – in spite of his total absence of charisma and his lack of any sense of humor. Pines looks like a young Montgomery Burns, and has yet to be seen cracking a smile.

“Pines” is actually a common name for German Jews. It is however pronounced in German and Hebrew, and I kid you not about this, “Penis.” Some members of the clan spell the name as it sounds, making their peace with the jokes. Others, including young Ophir, prefer the PG spelling – PINES. In any case, his name is pronounced Offer Penis, and for many years I respond to anyone mentioning his name with, “Sure, just not my own.” Wouldn’t it be cool if he had married a woman named Fanny Prostate?

So just what induced Prince Penis to abandon the Labor Party? I think the answer is pretty clear.  Rodents never stay aboard sinking ships. The Labor Party has sunk from a hegemonic single-party ruling class, running the state all on its own, to squeezing into the last Knesset as the 4th largest power. It is possibly about to split into two even smaller splinters.

The Labor Party has very simply been completely wrong about nearly every single matter on which it has taken a public stand. First and foremost, of course, the Labor Party bears direct responsibility for the Oslo debacle and all the existential damage it has done to the Jewish people. Pines completely supports all of that, but he can see that the Labor shiplet is a-sinkin. Read more >

Netanyahu Can’t Put Humpty Together Again

Prime Minister Netanyahu, speaking to a special session of Cabinet, recited a popular nursery rhyme.

The Jews of Gush Katif lived behind a wall,

The Jews of Gush Katif had a great fall.

All the Kadima traitors,

And all the Likud plans,

Couldn’t put the Jews in their homes again.

The forced removal of Jews from their homes in Gaza was a mistake, Netanyahu is really, really sorry, he promises to not do it again, but he can’t do anything about it now … life goes on, get over it. Read more >

Obama Sinking in the Polls

Politics, Polls · By Caidom

It’s been a mixed week for Obama, with his approval rating index in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll remaining in negative territory (30% strongly approve, 37% strongly disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –7).

The economy is the overriding issue for most Americans, once again taking the top spot on a list of 10 important voter issues. But interest in health care has surged and is now at its highest level in nearly two years.

Opposition appears to be growing to the reform plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats: 49% of voters now at least somewhat oppose it, while 46% at least somewhat favor it. Just two weeks ago, those numbers were reversed: 50% were for the reform plan, and 45% were opposed.

Jacqui Smith: Blame Prime Minister Brown for Appointing Incompetents Like Me

Johnson (incoming Home Secretary – – ed.) said Smith had no right to put Savage, the third highest rated radio talker in America, on the same list as a former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard, a skinhead gang leader and a Hezbollah militant.

Last week, Jacqui Smith admitted she was not up to being home secretary, saying she should have been given some training for the job before being named.

“When I became home secretary I’d never run a major organization,” she told Total Politics magazine. “I hope I did a good job but if I did it was more by luck than by any kind of development of skills. I think we should have been better trained. I think there should have been more induction.”

Last month, Smith resigned her position in the wake of scandal over personal use of taxpayer funds and her controversial ban of Savage.

Gullible Bloggers Support Butcher of Beirut

Prime Minister Moussavi and the First Supreme Leader Khomeni

Prime Minister Moussavi and the First Supreme Leader Khomeni

antigreenWe haven’t written about events in Iran because we could not understand what the fuss was all about. The Butcher of Beirut vs. the Hitler of Our Time, and we are supposed to choose sides?

In all the excitement, highly respected Conservative bloggers lost their bearings. Stars like Michelle Malkin started posting in support of the “green revolution” led by Mir-Hossein Mousavi, who in the 80s arranged the attack on the US Marine barracks in Beirut and is widely known to be the founder of Hezbollah.

Bloggers pined for Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the first Ayatollah to come out in favor of nuking the Jews, to tip the scales in favor of the Butcher and his minions in their struggle to wrestle control from Hitler and his thugs. How one group of militant Shia Islamists would be better than another group of militant Shia Islamists is beyond us.

Of course, when the enemy has to expend energy suppressing uprisings in the rear it is a good thing by definition. Hopefully, fighting  each other will keep the Ayatollahs busy. So here is to chaos in the Islamic Republic of Iran! May the Supreme Leader and the Supreme Leader wannabe both suffer the fate they so richly deserve, in hell. What color should we display for that? Red?

Debbie Schlussel got it right and has been posting furiously on the subject. Read more >

The house Republicans have not been doing much Right lately, but they deserve credit for reminding us of the dangerous Islamists held in Club Gitmo. Your tropical retreat from the stresses of Jihad is a fun place for Jihadis of all ages and ranks. Of course, the loonies on the Left are calling it fear mongering.

World’s Most Costly Disasters

In a style reminiscent of the Third Reich, Obama celebrated his first 100 days in office. The media sycophants tripped over each other with accolades. The Leader graced his people with speeches and smiles. The government presses kept busy minting more money to better bind the people to Him. The alphabet networks called him the greatest president ever, the savior of the common people, just a regular guy who can eat hamburgers with the rest of us. Wow!

In the midst of all the hoopla, we received via email, without attribution, a pictorial ranking on a different scale. It is worth sharing. Below is a ranking of the world’s greatest disasters. Here too, Obama is a winner. Just click on a thumbnail to enlarge the image and read the details.

It Pays to be Obama’s Friend – Literally!

stimulus-flow_chart2A license to print money has definite advantages. The Obama administration understands the power of the minting press. They have embarked on an unparalleled feeding frenzy and have invited all their friends to the trough. If you are not a fanatic Obamanation cult member, you don’t even get to eat the crumbs under the table. No matter how many new dollar bills they print, you get bubkas.

Newt Gingrich identifies some winners and losers in Obama’s remade America.

Are You an Obama Winner? Or an Obama Loser?
by  Newt Gingrich
05/06/2009

If there was one feeling that inspired almost a million Americans to come out for the Tax Day Tea Parties last month it was this:  That our government, supposedly created of the people, by the people and for the people, is busy picking winners and losers.

The feeling that our politics are increasingly rigged against us didn’t begin with President Obama.  Deciding to bailout Wall Street rather than let deserving companies go bankrupt began under President Bush.

But the Obama Administration has elevated rewarding some Americans and punishing others to a governing philosophy.

And as he has expanded the size and the scope of government, President Obama has only increased his ability to reach into our businesses, our communities, and even our homes to separate Americans into two groups:  Those who will benefit from the new order, and those who will pay the bills.

What follows is just a partial list of the winners and losers of the Obama Administration so far, organized by the government policies that will decide their fate: Read more >
