Al Dura, Again

On October 2, 2001 we wrote about Muhammad Al Dura, the 12 year old boy actor who played dead in a France2 TV video production. PajamaMedia has a blow by blow report by Nidra Poller on the Paris courtroom proceedings in the case of France2 and Charles Enderlin versus Philippe Karsenty.

In response to an order issued by the Appellate Court for handover of the unedited raw footage shot by France 2 cameraman Talal Abu Rahma on the 30th of September and 1st of October 2000, the state-owned TV network produced an 18-minute CD, a certificate of conformity, and its Jerusalem Bureau Chief Charles Enderlin. This is the first time monsieur Enderlin has stood before the court since a series of lawsuits for defamation was initiated in September 2006. Enderlin said, in interviews and on his France 2 blog, that he was pleased to have the opportunity to display the raw footage and bring an end to years of unfair, unfounded accusations. French media have shunned the issue, but an array of international journalists and concerned citizens came to see the evidence and judge for themselves. The hearing was scheduled for 1:30 PM.

Chalabi Could Have Been

Legacy 2007 · By

Of the many lame decisions President Bush has made in the fraudulently named “war on terror” the top ten would definitely include the shameful treatment of Ahmad Chalabi after the conquest of Iraq. Instead of appointing him ruler of the conquered country, Bush listened to the CIA and State Department. He chose to transfer power to the humane globalist Collin Powell. Powell and his State Department schemers managed to turn a smashing military victory into a politically correct mess.

Via Hot Air we linked to a Los Angeles Times report that the US military is talking to Ahmad Chalabi, again.

Ahmad Chalabi sits in the conference room of his compound in the Green Zone preparing to meet with Lt. Gen. Raymond T. Odierno, the No. 2 U.S. military officer in Iraq.

Sunlight streams over expensive Persian carpets and modern Iraqi furniture. Chalabi wears a sober charcoal suit, but there’s a touch of the dandy in his lime-colored polka-dot tie.

Chalabi professes not to even know what the meeting is about. The general, he says nonchalantly, requested it.

As advertised, an imposing figure sporting fatigues and a shaved head strides through the door a few minutes later. “Thank you for seeing me,” Odierno says.

Ahmad Chalabi, it would appear, is back.

McCarthyism and Liberal Lies

In her best selling book Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism, Ann Coulter tells the story of an American hero, Senator Joseph McCarthy. In the 1940s and 50s enemy agents infiltrated the US government in large numbers. Cheered on by media and academic elites, who delight in any American setback, they plotted to spread the joys of communism. McCarthy defeated them single-handedly. For that, the elites destroyed him, and not satisfied, they set out to destroy his reputation for all of eternity.Hollywood idiots scare little children with tales of McCarthyism.

However, Senator McCarthy got the last laugh. He stopped the Leftists long enough for Ronald Reagan to defeat the Evil Empire. In 1989, the USSR collapsed like a deck of cards. Americans are free today because Joseph McCarthy fought the Commies and won.

A new scholarly book by M. Stanton Evans vindicates McCarthy’s lonely, heroic struggle to save America. Ann comments in McCarthyism: The Rosetta Stone of Liberal Lies.

The great M. Stanton Evans has finally released Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and His Fight Against America’s Enemies . Based on a lifetime’s work, including nearly a decade of thoroughgoing research, stores of original documents and never-before-seen government files, this 672-page book ends the argument on Joe McCarthy. Look for it hidden behind stacks of Bill Clinton’s latest self-serving book at a bookstore near you.

Olmert in Condi’s Wonderland

Legacy 2007 · By

How dumb is Olmert, really? Dumb enough to give away Gaza, Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. Dumb enough to demand in return that the PA accept Israel as a Jewish state.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert intends to demand that the Palestinian Authority accept Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state in upcoming negotiations. This will be Israel’s precondition for any further negotiations with the PA, according to Channel 2 TV.

The report said that by making this simple demand, Olmert will be forcing the PA to give up its hope of making Israel accept an Arab influx into its borders (the “right of return” of “refugees”). If the PA accepts the condition, it will become that much simpler for Olmert to make concessions of his own.

So, he is just tricking them. Once they accept that Israel is a Jewish state, he can shower more goodies on them. What is left to concede? Tel Aviv?

Turns out the Prime Minister is not only dumb, he is a dumb crook. The idiot couldn’t even take a bribe without getting caught. Israeli police raided 20 offices to collect evidence against the crook.

One hundred policemen raided some 20 government and other offices Sunday morning, in search of evidence in the investigations against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Soggy Rice

Condoleezza Rice is determined to keep appeasing until everybody in the world likes her. She has already done a threesome with Mahmud Abbas and King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. She hasn’t slept with the bearded jihadis of Hamas yet. God knows she wanted to, but they just spurned all her shameless advances.

Now, she is flirting with the mad ayatollahs and their dancing puppet, Mahmud Ahmadinejad. Breitbart.com reports that she is more than eager to appease the Iranian.

Secretary of state, Condoleezza Rica, denied Sunday that the United States was bent on war with Iran and renewed an offer of reconciliation talks if the Islamic republic renounces its nuclear drive.

Interviewed on ABC television, Rice was pressed on a Senate resolution passed in September that labeled Iran’s Revolutionary Guards a terrorist operation — a step that critics said had brought war nearer.

She said that President George Bush was clear “that he’s on a diplomatic path where Iran comes into focus.”

“Obviously, it can be the case that he will never take his options off the table, but this particular resolution has nothing to do with that from our point of view,” Rice said referring to the prospect of military force on Iran.

Rockets Are Falling

As the rockets keep falling on their homes, 3000 residents of Sderot have fled for their lives.

Palestinian Authority terrorists in northern Gaza launched a combined rocket-and-mortar attack on Jewish towns in the western Negev Tuesday morning. Two Kassam rockets and four mortar shells fired by enemy forces exploded harmlessly in open fields, causing no injuries or damage.

As the latest rockets fell on the Negev, the Yediot Acharonot newspaper reported that 3,000 residents of the bombarded Negev city of Sderot have fled to safer quarters in the last six months alone. The flight reportedly reached its highest pitch this past summer, during which Gaza terrorists launched more than 1,500 rockets at the city.

Patriotism Is Alive

Patriotism is alive and well, at least in parts of Texas. Some people still understand that, to win the next war, a nation must honor its heroes. The Daily Times reports that a local Kerrville, Texas road will be renamed Veterans Highway.

Kerrville’s Loop 534 officially has been renamed Veterans Highway.

It joins about 4,300 Texas roads, highways and drives that honor war veterans in cities similar in size to Kerrville.

A mock highway sign bearing the new name was unveiled to the public during a Monday morning dedication ceremony in the Kerrville Veterans Hospital auditorium.

Mayor Gene Smith told the story of the renaming, saying a family in Legion Hills whose son, Cody Orr, was killed in the Iraq War, wanted a local street named in his honor. But the street’s name already was spoken for. Later, other families wanted streets named after their loved ones who had fought in wars, Smith said.

He thought about naming Loop 534 “Veterans Memorial Highway,” but decided a name honoring all veterans ‘living and dead’ would be more fitting, especially since Kerrville already has Memorial Highway or Texas 27 East.

“There’s only one major roadway that didn’t have a name other than a number, so it was appropriate,” Smith said of Loop 534.

The city paid approximately $2,200 for two new 6 feet by 6 feet highway signs which already have been erected. One is about 500 feet north of Texas Highway, visible to drivers traveling north on the loop. The other can be seen when entering the loop from Texas 27 and driving north. It’s on the right side of the road, just before the back entrance to the VA hospital.

They even had Rev. Warren Hornug say a few words. Nice!

Living Will Kill You

It’s official – living causes cancer! So says an international panel of experts. From the Daily Mail.

A bombshell report yesterday blamed putting on weight, alcohol and a whole range of everyday foods for causing cancer. Consumers were told to curb drinking, avoid processed meats – including bacon, ham and sausages – and cut their intake of red meat and salt.

Even supposedly healthy fruit and vegetables were said to offer only ‘limited’ protection against the disease.

Last night, as the public wondered what exactly is safe to eat, there was a growing medical and food industry backlash against the £4.5 million study by 21 international experts on behalf of the World Cancer Research Fund.

Britain’s top cancer specialist, Professor-Karol Sikora, called the advice ‘too trite and too dogmatic’ and warned ‘no one will do it’.

He added: ‘Alcohol, red meat and bacon in moderation will do us no harm and to suggest they will is wrong.

‘I don’t intend to give up my Sunday roast and glass of wine.’

The report offers the toughest advice yet on guarding against cancer.

Its key finding is that being fat is as bad for you as smoking.

Excess body fat can trigger at least six common cancers including those affecting the breast, bowel and pancreas.

Speaking of Idiots

Remember the time Olmert armed the Fatah “police” gang with rifles, so they could better defend Israel from the real bad Hamas gang? The “policemen” then used the very same rifles to kill Jews. If you thought that was dumb, check out what the Israeli government did with fighter jets.

Iran has signed a deal with China to purchase 24 J-10 fighter jets between 2008 and 2010, Russian news agency Novosti reported. The jets were developed based on the technology of Israel’s Lavi fighter jet, whose technology was sold to China against the wishes of the US.

Novosti stated that the J-10 has a range of 2,940 kilometers, bringing it within range of Israel. Iran’s current MiG-29 jets have a range of 2,100 kilometers.

Speaking of idiots, The Jerusalem Post reports that Rice sought advice from Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

When Lawyers Run the War

Legacy 2007 · By

Mischievous lawyers constantly erode America’s ability to combat the Jihad. The American Civil Liberties Union leads the way. A simple Google search yields headlines like these:

ACLU Defends Senator Larry Craig–The Republican Perv
ACLU Defends The Right To Fly Foreign Flags Above Old Glory
ACLU Battles Gideon Bibles
ACLU Defending Terrorist’s Communications
ACLU Defends Nazis’ Right To Burn Down ACLU Headquarter (warning: loud audio)

The last link will make you laugh; it is from the Onion, of course.

In Israel, no military decision is too trivial for the activist lawyers on the Supreme Court. They rule on when, where and how the IDF can attack the enemy. They even overrule the architects designing the Freedom Fence, known to some as the Apartheid Wall.
