March is upon us and seasonal Antisemitism is in full bloom. “Israel Apartheid Week” will be celebrated on campuses from Berkeley to London, where the Jew-bashing will be lead by Israeli “academics”.

LONDON – A Tel Aviv University professor is set to open this year’s “Israel Apartheid Week” taking place at three London university campuses.

Adi Ophir, an associate professor at TAU’s Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science, will open the event on Monday. “Israel Apartheid Week” takes place at the School of Oriental and African Studies, the London School of Economics and University College London.

Also taking part is Israel-born lawyer Daniel Machover, co-founder of Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights. Machover is also a major player in the campaign to arrest Israeli officials who visit the UK, on charges of war crimes. Read more >

Canadian Culture Moving South

No, we are not talking about the Barack Hussein Obama (mm, mm, mm) takeover of the health delivery system. This is an entirely different horror story. Watch appalling images of a Canadian girl conducting milk drinking rituals involving circumcision of recyclable plastic bags. Will the Obama administration import the barbaric custom as part of its cap and tax (“to save the planet”) legislation?

Can Islamic Conventions Defeat the West?

Even as some Muslims blow up in public places, others hold conventions to spread the faith in the lands of the infidels. On December 25, the Islamic Circle of North America gathered in Atlanta for an annual hatefest.

In Toronto, Muslims have gathered for Reviving the Islamic Spirit (RIS).

Close to 17,000 Muslims came to Metro Toronto’s Convention Centre on Friday – Christmas Day – to learn about their religion and being a Muslim in a modern world.

They heard from Islamic scholars, prayed, visited with family and friends and shopped in a bazaar that offered up a variety of wares, including hand-embroidered shawls, books, T-shirts, hijabs for both women and children, jewellery and hijab pins.

It was all part of a three-day convention “Reviving the Islamic Spirit,” an annual conference with its roots in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attack. It is designed, organizers say, as a way to help young Muslims understand their faith in a North American context.

The promotional video for the event is a sleek quality production.

Canada’s Globe & Mail Has Become A Platform for Virulent Antisemitism

Antisemitism, Canada, Media · By

How things have changed. Toronto the good, as it was mockingly called by the rest of Canada in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, has become a hotbed of anti-Jewish activism, sometimes disguised as opposition to Israeli policies, but usually not. As the city grew from Sunday blue laws to cosmopolitan metropolis, from a white Anglo-Saxon bastion to a multicultural hodgepodge, low level polite Antisemitism morphed into proud Jews-hatred.

Two things have changed over the past thirty years. Lefty ideologies of all shades of pink now dominate the city and the Muslim population has exploded (not literally, yet) from almost none to what feels like 500,000 visible believers. At the intersection of dawah (Islamic missionary work) and far-left (fascist) agitation lies the source of Antisemitism in this age.

Where do the local Antisemites go to promote their hate online? One place is the Globe and Mail, Canada’s newspaper of record. Read more >

Toronto Jews Show Signs of Life

Friends,

It has come to my attention that the boycott of the Toronto Film Festival for featuring Tel Aviv has been defeated by people who bought up all the tickets, at least the ones online.  If more tickets are available, be sure to buy them and fill the theaters.

If we can make this the most successful film festival ever, that would be a real victory.

Thanks to all who participated, wrote, voiced an opinion, and bought a ticket. The Toronto Jewish community is great!

How you are handling this should set an example to Jewish communities everywhere on how to behave in such a situation.

As Avigdor Lieberman, Israel’s Foreign Minister recently said, there must be zero tolerance for the haters and disseminators of lies about Israel.  We need to respond firmly and decisively to each and every incident, however small.  It’s time to fight back! Read more >

Barbarella Supports the Destruction of Israel

Friends,

Toronto had a film festival highlighting movies about Tel Aviv.  You’d think a city that pre-dates the Jewish State, one not in the “occupied territories” would not be controversial.  Guess what?  Jane Fonda, Danny Glover and Eve Ensler (that basket case) Naomi Klein, Alice Walker  etc. are protesting, signing a letter which says: “we are deeply disturbed by [TIFF's] decision to host a celebratory spotlight on Tel Aviv,” the letter begins. “We protest that TIFF, whether intentionally or not, has become complicit in the Israeli propaganda machine…we object to the use of such an important international festival in staging a propaganda campaign on behalf of … an apartheid regime.”

And now, the festival’s director, Cameron Bailey, whose good idea it was in the first place to focus on Tel Aviv, has backed down, calling Tel Aviv “contested ground” and vowing: “to learn more about the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.”  Contested by whom?  The Hamas?

Just shows you the inroads of Palestinian hate speak, and the useful idiots involved. Read more >

In the Footsteps of Madoff

Until recently, Earl Jones seemed like the kind of guy one would like as a friend, or at least invite to a party. Those closest to him describe the financial planner as charming and fun, adored by children, devoted father to two daughters. He was generous, quick to pay for drinks, and could be counted on to show up at weddings, funerals and hospital bedsides. “You felt that he really felt your pain when a tragedy struck, and went out of his way to be sympathetic and supportive,” his sister-in-law Frances Gordon said.

Then in June, the monthly checks he issued to his clients for decades stopped coming or bounced, and Mr. Jones, 67, stopped taking calls. Investors got a sick feeling in their stomach. They began to fear the generosity of a man known to many as Uncle Earl had been coming directly out of their life savings, and his appearance at funerals and weddings might not have been so selfless after all.

Let My People Stay

Meir Weinstein, National Director, Jewish Defense League of Canada sent the following email to Mamdouh Shoukri, President and Vice-Chancellor of York University. Note the strong support of the Stephen Harper Government for Israel and the Jewish community in Canada.

From: Meir Weinstein

To: Mamdouh Shoukri (mshoukri@yorku.ca)

It has come to my attention that York University will be hosting a conference in June which will focus on Israel. The official website that promotes the conference states the following, ” Israel/Palestine: One State or Two? is co-sponsored by Queen’s University and York University, and is an official U50 initiative, part of York University’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.”

Please be advised that many York University Students have received threats and feel scared as a result of anti Jewish/Israel activities on campus. Racism should have no place on campus. And this conference will only serve to encourage a negative perception of Jews. Read more >

York Universiy Hatefest Targets Jews

YouTube Preview Image

More than a year ago, the Honorable Pierre Poilievre celebrated Israel’s 60th birthday, criticizing intimidation of Jewish students on Canadian campuses. Despite the Harper government’s strong support for Israel and the Jewish community, the stealth Jihad continues, abated by Lefties in Academia and the Media.

What used to be Canada’s Jewish University has become a hotbed of Islamist activism. Jewish students are regularly subjected to threats and physical abuse. Muslim students set up “checkpoints” to teach Jewish students what it’s like to live under occupation. York University is a passionate proponent of Israel Apartheid Week, an annual event on most Canadian campuses. For ten days participants spew anti-Israel propaganda, preach hate and incite violence against Jews. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding in North York, then a heavily Jewish borough of Toronto, the university will host yet another bash Israel hatefest with the Orwellian name Israel/Palestine: Mapping Models of Statehood and Paths to Peace.
