Elites Steal $850 Billion

The “brilliant” Charles Krauthammer got it wrong. Fox News talking head Fred Barnes provided insight with the same depth of understanding he demonstrates daily on Special Report with Brit Hume. Hugh Hewitt preached the bailout gospel with the same tenacity he usually reserves for good causes, like electing Sarah Palin. On the Left, Nancy Pelosi did not think $700 billion was enough so she threw in $150 billion of pork.

65% of the American people opposed the bailout, but the political and media elites on both sides of the aisle demanded “BAILOUT NOW!” When the House Republicans managed to block the bailout legislation on the first attempt and the markets reacted positively, Krauthammer explained that it would be a big mistake to assume that no bailout was necessary. Now that the bailout has been signed into law by the lame duck in the White House and the markets continue to collapse, Krauthammer and his fellow elites will no doubt argue that the bailout was simply not large enough. Washington Post reporter Anne Kornblut accuses Sarah of believing that Saddam Hussein helped plan 9/11. What an awful thing to believe! Of course, Kornblut and her friends know that 9/11 was an inside job. One problem, Sarah only stated the obvious, fighting and killing terrorists over there means there are less of them to come over here.

Most Dangerous Man in America

Grover Norquist enables Islamists in the Republican party and the US government. He is a close friend of President Bush and Karl Rove, as well as one of the most prominent leaders of the modern conservative movement.

Lat week, in Hot Air, Ed Morrissey wrote a glowing post about Norquist and his work with Americans for Tax Reform. Norquist delivered a great line, “The Left is not made up of friends and allies, but of competing parasites. If we don’t let them feed on us, they will gnaw on each other.”

Unfortunately, Morrissey failed to include information about Norquist’s other activities. Robert Spencer remedied the error with a succinct comment and an article in Front Page Magazine.

Collapse of Europe and America?

An impressive array of intellectuals and activists participated in an international conference on the collapse of Europe, the rise of Islam and the consequences to the Untited States. The conference was held on June 10-11, 2007 at Pepperdine University. It was organized by American Freedom Alliance and Council for Democracy and Tolerance.

The conference list of panelists included Mark Steyn, author of America Alone (best book of 2006), Ayaan Hirsi Ali, ex-Muslim member of Dutch parliament and author of Infidel, Hugh Hewitt, radio talk show host and author of Blog and A Mormon in the White House, Daniel Pipes, Director of Middle East Forum, and Ibn Warraq, ex-Muslim author of Defending the West and Why I Am Not a Muslim.

Mark Steyn explained multiculturalism with typical humor.

A Market for Dead Jewish Soldiers

Olmert, with the support of the people, has just created a market for dead Jews. If a market exists, producers magically materialize and prosper. That is the most basic law of supply and demand.

Pray for the safety of Israeli soldiers and ruthlessly repair the world on election day.

Tikkun olam is a Hebrew expression that literally means “repairing the world.” Traditionally, it meant exercising good judgment to benefit the world in the future. Paying for bodies of dead soldiers is the opposite of tikkun olam. It benefits the grieving families and helps desperate politicians cling to power. The long list of scandals involving Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (Kadima), keeps growing. Thus far he is facing charges of bribery, money laundering, fraud, breach of trust and more. On the weekend, Israelis enjoyed the spectacle of Tel-Tzur, one of Olmert’s lawyers, pressing American businessman Morris Talansky to admit that he, Talansky, issued instructions for the bank to transfer $160,000 to the Prime Minister. Essentially, the lawyer was arguing that the Prime Minister did not steal the money. It must have been just a regular bribe! They have no shame. Read more >
