We haven’t written about events in Iran because we could not understand what the fuss was all about. The Butcher of Beirut vs. the Hitler of Our Time, and we are supposed to choose sides?

In all the excitement, highly respected Conservative bloggers lost their bearings. Stars like Michelle Malkin started posting in support of the “green revolution” led by Mir-Hossein Mousavi, who in the 80s arranged the attack on the US Marine barracks in Beirut and is widely known to be the founder of Hezbollah.

Bloggers pined for Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the first Ayatollah to come out in favor of nuking the Jews, to tip the scales in favor of the Butcher and his minions in their struggle to wrestle control from Hitler and his thugs. How one group of militant Shia Islamists would be better than another group of militant Shia Islamists is beyond us.

Of course, when the enemy has to expend energy suppressing uprisings in the rear it is a good thing by definition. Hopefully, fighting  each other will keep the Ayatollahs busy. So here is to chaos in the Islamic Republic of Iran! May the Supreme Leader and the Supreme Leader wannabe both suffer the fate they so richly deserve, in hell. What color should we display for that? Red?

Sarah is under their skin and in their minds. She haunts them at night. The nightmares! Some dream she gives them money. Others have sexual fantasies. For some odd reason, Slate magazine decided to investigate what people dream about Sarah Palin. Slate reporters need to get a life.

Notwithstanding Warren Buffet’s claim that his assistant pays income tax at a higher rate than he, the fact is that the bottom 50% of earners pay at a rate of 2.98%, the top 5% at 20.78% and the top 1% at 23.13%.

Barack Hussein Obama wants to tax the rich more, more, and more! He has plans for your money. Things to do; stuff to buy; worlds to save. TaxProf Blog observes that, as things stand today, the rich are the only ones paying taxes. The bottom 50% of earners pay only 3% of all taxes. Read more >

Nancy Pelosi’s Congress is three times as popular today as Ehud Olmert was in 2007. A Rasmussen tracking poll puts the percentage of people who think Congress is doing a good or excellent job at just 9%. This is the first time since measurement began that Congress’ approval dropped into single digits. Prince Ehud survived in 2007 and Queen Nancy does not appear to be in any danger in 2008. If Obama wins 61% of the Jewish vote, as a recent Gallup poll suggests, he will fall 20% short of what he needs to secure wins in New York, California, Pennsylvania and Illinois as well as have a shot at winning Ohio and Florida. That is why Obama pops up anywhere more than three Jews congregate.

He desperately needs the Jewish vote now, but his life story tells of a man who at best is indifferent to Jewish issues and most likely sympathizes with the enemies of Israel. His friends are his resume.

The list of things you can’t say about Obama is slowly growing to cover pretty much everything. Now his nuts, as well as his ears, are out of bounds. The man seems to have a Liberal/Islamist exemption from criticism card. If you want to see Chris Methews (PMSNBC) foaming at the mouth, claim that:

• Many of Obama’s friends are Islamists, terrorists, communists, or regular crooks.
• Obama sympathizes with terrorists, believes that “no one has suffered like the Palestinian people,” and he lies to deceive Jewish voters.
• Obama was born and is culturally Muslim, and he lies to deceive Christian voters.
• Obama became a hard core Communist on the streets of Chicago, hanging with the likes of Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright and Michelle ‘My Bell’ Obama.
