Back in the 1990s I invented the term, “Bibi Peresyahu” to refer to the prime Ministership of Bibi Netanyahu back then. At the time, Netanyahu was trying to outdo the Israeli Labor Party and Shimon Peres in pursuing the Oslo “peace process.” Netanyahu made concessions even Peres had refused to make, like turning Hebron over to the savages.

He signed the “Wye Accord,” after which I dubbed him the Wye’s Man of Chelm. In domestic matters he refused to do anything serious to break up the bank cartel or reform the capital market. His main concern was to be liked by the Israeli leftist media, and that concern caused him to shift to the Left. The same concern later led Ariel Sharon by the nose to the Left and to capitulation to Hamas in Gaza.

Well, Bibi Peresyahu is back. He keeps freezing Jewish building in Jerusalem and its surroundings. A few days ago he announced his backing for a series of anti-economic populist policy measures favored by the ultra-Left, like raising the minimum wage and subsidizing water consumption. Yesterday Peresyahu came out AGAINST any parliamentary investigation of leftwing seditious anti-Israel NGOs operating in Israel. When asked why he is suddenly against this very popular proposal he had earlier supported, Netanyahu without blinking replied, “But what will the goyim (nations) say.” Really. Never mind that the nations have lots of similar laws operating in their own countries for NGOs receiving foreign funding. In the US, any group getting foreign funding has to register as a lobbyist for a foreign entity.

Maybe Bibi can attend the J Street conference so that the Left will like him more?

Some campaign attack ads regress to name calling; others dig up ancient irrelevant crap. The two attack ads below pretty much tell us everything we need to know about America’s future, if the Democrats are not annihilated on November 2, 2010.

The first Ad by Citizens Against Government Waste gives us a glimpse into the future.

The second ad, by Sharron Angle, shows how Barack Hussein Obama, with some help from Nancy Reid and Harry Pelosi, is creating a future dominated by China.

When Sharron Angle won the Republican Primary in Nevada, Charles Krauthammer pretty much guaranteed defeat. Which only proves, once again, that Washington pundits are know-nothing intellectual elitists first, no matter what letter they have in parenthesis behind their name. Angle is smart, resilient, confident and steeped in conservative thought. Ronald Reagan would have been proud of her. In Thursday’s debate, she cleaned Harry Reid’s clock. Reid, spewing random words weaved into incoherent sentences, made it easy. But she would have crushed him no matter what. Why? Because she is a true principled Conservative.

Reid demonstrated a scary lack of understanding of the roles of health care providers (doctors and nurses), insurance companies and government. Even ignoring Harry’s crazy talk about baseball players wearing pink shoes, football players having pink helmets and insurance companies doing colonoscopies and snipping things that they find up there, his answer proves that he is certifiably insane. The moderator is Mitch Fox.

Fox:

Is there anything, at all, that you think the insurance companies should be mandated to cover. Anything?

Angle:

I think that what we have here is a choice between the free market and Americanism. American is about choices. And we need to allow people to have those choices. The free market will weed out those companies that don’t offer as many choices and don’t have a cost-effective system. Let the people decide where they want to buy their insurance – you don’t have to force them to buy anything and you don’t have to force anyone to offer a product that no one wants.

Fox:

Okay, so no insurance mandates. Okay. Senator Reid?

Mitch, insurance companies. Insurance companies don’t do things out of the goodness of their hearts, they do it out of a profit motive and they have almost destroyed our economy. Twenty percent of all costs, prior to our passing our health insurance reform, was because of health care costs. If we didn’t do something to change it, it would go up by, in less than 15 years, to 36 cents of every dollar. It would break us.

We need them to be forced to do mammograms. That’s why you see breast cancer awareness month, you see the baseball players wearing pink shoes and you see the football players having pink helmets. It’s because people dread breast cancer and you don’t get breast cancer, you correct breast cancer, you detect it, if you do mammograms.

Colonoscopies – if you do colonoscopies, colon cancer does not come cause you snip off the things they find when they go up and – no more. And we need to have the insurance companies do this, it’ll save money in the long run to do this.

Marxists, bearded and otherwise, oppressed billions, caused innumerable bloody wars and drove dozens of nations to bankruptcy. How many people have witches oppressed? How many countries have they bankrupted, in the past two thousand years?

The witch is cute. Vote for the witch. It’s the cool thing to do.

Imam Harry Reid extols the virtues of Islam. Apparently, Reid knows two Muslim doctors who actually treat patients, unlike Muslim doctors who blow up on subways in London. This is good news, of sorts, but burning the Koran is at least as legal as planting an Islamic supremacist mosque at Ground Zero.
