No, we are not talking about the Barack Hussein Obama (mm, mm, mm) takeover of the health delivery system. This is an entirely different horror story. Watch appalling images of a Canadian girl conducting milk drinking rituals involving circumcision of recyclable plastic bags. Will the Obama administration import the barbaric custom as part of its cap and tax (“to save the planet”) legislation?

Answer:  Any day in which Ophir Pines resigns from politics is an Israeli national holiday!

Ophir Pines is a politician whom I really love to hate. He is an obnoxious leftist McCarthyist. He led the Labor Party’s campaign against freedom of speech for anti-Oslo dissidents. After Rabin’s assassination, Pines led each and every Labor Party attempt to indict members of the political opposition for supposedly being collectively guilty of Rabin’s death, and he led the camp claiming that exercise of freedom of speech by Right-wingers was what ultimately produced the Rabin assassination. He repeatedly filed court petitions against Righists expressing opinions.

Pines was considered until yesterday, when he resigned from the Knesset, to be the up-and-coming Young Turk, the Bonnie Prince Churly, and next-generation-leader of the Labor Party. He had come in at the very top of Labor Party internal primaries. This – in spite of his total absence of charisma and his lack of any sense of humor. Pines looks like a young Montgomery Burns, and has yet to be seen cracking a smile.

“Pines” is actually a common name for German Jews. It is however pronounced in German and Hebrew, and I kid you not about this, “Penis.” Some members of the clan spell the name as it sounds, making their peace with the jokes. Others, including young Ophir, prefer the PG spelling – PINES. In any case, his name is pronounced Offer Penis, and for many years I respond to anyone mentioning his name with, “Sure, just not my own.” Wouldn’t it be cool if he had married a woman named Fanny Prostate?

So just what induced Prince Penis to abandon the Labor Party? I think the answer is pretty clear.  Rodents never stay aboard sinking ships. The Labor Party has sunk from a hegemonic single-party ruling class, running the state all on its own, to squeezing into the last Knesset as the 4^th largest power. It is possibly about to split into two even smaller splinters.

The Labor Party has very simply been completely wrong about nearly every single matter on which it has taken a public stand. First and foremost, of course, the Labor Party bears direct responsibility for the Oslo debacle and all the existential damage it has done to the Jewish people. Nature Magazine, the international weekly journal of science, is at it again. In the 1940′s the magazine published opinion pieces in support of purging Jews from academia. Now they run opinion pieces in defense of Al Gore’s scam. Normal people recognize that the East-Anglia emails prove, beyond any shadow of doubt, that climatologists and politicians are the scum of the earth, conspiring to rob the rest of us to the benefit of their own cash flow. Now, make sure you are sitting down, the significance of the emails according to Nature is that:

1. They were obtained “unethically.”
2. They prove that scientists are human.
3. They demonstrate that scientists are smart.
4. They demonstrate that normal people are ignorant boobs.
5. They are a call for decent people to support the East-Anglia fascists!
6. They prove that “something is happening”
7. You must give your money to poor people and scientists, or something.
8. The “denialists” must be defeated!
9. Scientists should avoid getting caught.
10. The scam must go on.

This opinion piece in Nature falls into the “as the stomach turns” category.

Climatologists under pressure

Stolen e-mails have revealed no scientific conspiracy, but do highlight ways in which climate researchers could be better supported in the face of public scrutiny.

The e-mail archives stolen last month from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia (UEA), UK, have been greeted by the climate-change-denialist fringe as a propaganda windfall (see page 551). To these denialists, the scientists’ scathing remarks about certain controversial palaeoclimate reconstructions qualify as the proverbial ‘smoking gun’: proof that mainstream climate researchers have systematically conspired to suppress evidence contradicting their doctrine that humans are warming the globe. In a long expected move, President Obama announced today that he has appointed Geoffry Schlupenflush, founder of ProfitsAreObsene.Org, to the newly created post of Entrepreneurship Czar. In a Rose Garden ceremony, the President declared that the new Czar will monitor business activity across America and ensure that achievement is distributed more equitably.

“America is an innovative country in which entrepreneurs are welcome. We respect the entrepreneurial spirit more than any previous administration. But should a talented few enjoy all the achievement?” asked the President. “How fair is a system that allows a couple of white kids from California to start doodling on napkins in their mother’s kitchen and a few years later end up with assets worth more than $100 billion?” he added.

“This will not happen on my watch,” promised Schlupenflush, vowing to eliminate excessive capital gains as quickly as he can learn what return on investment means. “If you start with nothing you cannot end up with something,” he added.

To preempt future embarrassment, Schlupenflush disclosed that in his youth, growing up in Chicago, he was a community redistribution activist, an occupation that required dexterity with a hidden firearm and a fast getaway vehicle. He met Barry in the hood, but they were not close friends and the future President did not know what Schlupenflush did for a living.

The technology has improved and the language is different, but the message is the same.

If George Orwell was alive today, what would he think of the ease with which American society mutated from democracy to fascism? The Ministry of Truth turned out to be unnecessary. Because it shares an extremely radical left wing ideology with the Leader, the Media willingly rewrites history to suit his needs. Since teachers compete to instill in the young adulation for Big Brother, the Ministry of Love is redundant. What about the Ministry of Peace? With a President ready to surrender to any bully on the planet, who needs one. In the Treasury and the Fed, Obama does have a Ministry of Plenty, whose job it is to explain to the dumb masses how the next cockamamie social experiment will produce prosperity, even though all prior experiments have failed miserably.

It has come to my attention that the boycott of the Toronto Film Festival for featuring Tel Aviv has been defeated by people who bought up all the tickets, at least the ones online.  If more tickets are available, be sure to buy them and fill the theaters.

If we can make this the most successful film festival ever, that would be a real victory.

Without getting into the question of why, it should by now be obvious to anybody paying attention that Obama has bent American foreign policy in a decidedly pro-Islamist direction. The submissive bow to King Abdullah and the humiliating apologies in Cairo would be sufficient evidence. Brutal verbal attacks on the State of Israel and denial of the right of Jews to live in their historic homeland complete the picture. Even traditionally Liberal Jews are getting it now! Barack Hussein Obama empathizes with his late father whose roots are in Muslim Kenya. His extensive Muslim family lives in Kenya, including his father’s second, third and fourth wives and their numerous children. Obama is a Kenyan who by some divine retribution was inflicted on the American people as President of the United States. 

So are the Jews of Israel doomed? Not necessarily! Haaretz, the Palestinian daily published in Hebrew and English, reports it as a bad thing, but apparently the “militant settlers” are both inclined and well positioned to stop the madness. Remember when Yasser Arafat died of Aids because he loved the young Jihadis who worked for him? Muslim propagandists were quick to deny the cause of death, even though they all wore gloves in close proximity to the slimy terrorist. Islam, you see, does not allow homosexuality, they said. Under Shariah, sodomy is punishable by instant death. Or is it? Apparently it depends on who is being sodomized and why.

A highly influential Shi’a religious leader, with whom Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad regularly consults, apparently told followers last month that coercion by means of rape, torture and drugs is acceptable against all opponents of the Islamic regime.

Asked if a confession obtained “by applying psychological, emotional and physical pressure” was “valid and considered credible according to Islam,” Mesbah-Yazdi replied: “Getting a confession from any person who is against the Velayat-e Faqih (“Guardianship of the Islamic Jurists”, or the regime of Iran’s mullahs) is permissible under any condition.” The ayatollah gave the identical answer when asked about confessions obtained through drugging the prisoner with opiates or addictive substances.

“Can an interrogator rape the prisoner in order to obtain a confession?” was the follow-up question posed to the Islamic cleric. Read more >

Officer Shahar Mizrachi is the latest victim of the leftist assault on Israel via the court system. Officer Mizrachi is a hero. He should have been awarded a medal for stopping a violent car thief. Instead, a politicized court and a politicized judge are sending him to prison for 15 months. There he will sit among the common criminals, including perhaps some he himself apprehended. They will make his life a living hell.

Mizrachi’s crime?  He did his job!

In July 2006, Officer Mizrachi saw a car thief stealing a car in Pardes Hana. It turns out though that the thief was an Arab from nearby Baqa al-Garbiya, one Mahmoud Ganaim. Officer Mizrachi shot the thief, who died from the wound. The thief, Ganaim, tried to stab Mizrachi with a screwdriver before the cop shot him.

But in post-survivalist Israel the court system seems to believe that Arabs should not be expected to obey the law and Jews should never be permitted to stop them from committing crimes. You may recall the farmer from the Negev, Shai Dromi, who shot at three Bedouin thieves trying to steal his sheep and killed one. He was harassed and indicted by the Attorney General and convicted of manslaughter, although recently cleared on appeal.
