The “best friend Israel ever had in the White House” continues to vigorously pursue policies specifically designed by State Department to destroy the Jewish state. Is it possible that President Bush is not aware of the risks involved in conceding land to an intransigent enemy? The Palestinians, like the Taliban and Al-Qaeda did in Afghanistan, will use the land as a base from which to launch better organized and more lethal attacks. Does Gaza ring a bell? Yet, Bush persists in demanding that Israel hand over historically Jewish lands it heroically liberated in 1967.

Bush and Ehud Olmert, the weak and stupid Israeli Prime Minister, view eviction of Jews from their homes as an acceptable sacrifice. We have a name for people who think like that. We call them anti-Semites.

Israel will tell US President George W. Bush during his visit to the region this week that it is committed to acting “expeditiously” to dismantle unauthorized West Bank settlement outposts, a spokesman for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Monday.

Israel has pledged repeatedly to take action on the outposts, generally small encampments settlers have set up in the West Bank to break up territory the Palestinians claim for a future state.

Not only is George McGovern alive, he still knows next to nothing about the Constitution. McGovern was the Democrat’s “peace” candidate in the 1972 Presidential elections, much like Obama is today. In the elections, Richard Nixon crushed McGovern by 23.2% in the popular vote. Nixon won every state but one, Massachusetts. McGovern lost even in his home state of South Dakota.

The massive defeat must have scrambled his brains permanently. In a rambling incoherent op-ed in the Washington Post, McGovern argues that George Bush and Dick Cheney should be impeached. If you did not live through the 1960s and think there can be no greater lunatics than moveon.org and the Kos nutroots, read and learn.

Bush and Cheney are clearly guilty of numerous impeachable offenses. They have repeatedly violated the Constitution. They have transgressed national and international law. They have lied to the American people time after time. Their conduct and their barbaric policies have reduced our beloved country to a historic low in the eyes of people around the world. These are truly “high crimes and misdemeanors,” to use the constitutional standard.

From the beginning, the Bush-Cheney team’s assumption of power was the product of questionable elections that probably should have been officially challenged — perhaps even by a congressional investigation.

German researchers have demonstrated that chimpanzees make better survival choices than Ehud Olmert, the Prime Minister of Israel.

Researchers from the Max Planck Institute of Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig studied the chimp’s choices by using an economic game with two players. In the game, a human or chimpanzee who receives something of value can offer to share it with another.

If the proposed share is rejected, neither player gets anything.

Humans typically make offers close to 50 percent of the reward. They also reject as unfair offers of significantly less than half of the reward, even though this choice means they get nothing.

The study, however, showed chimpanzees reliably made offers of substantially less than 50 percent, and accepted offers of any size, no matter how small.

The researchers concluded chimpanzees do not show a willingness to make fair offers and reject unfair ones. In this way, they protect their self interest and are unwilling to pay a cost to punish someone they perceive as unfair.

The study appeared in the Oct. 5 issue of the journal Science.

Thomas Sowell wrote a great book, Applied Economics: Thinking Beyond Stage One, in which he explains that politicians have no reason to think beyond the first stage of an economic problem. Mayor Jones, who places onerous taxes on businesses headquartered in his city to subsidize public transportation, is unlikely to still be around twenty years later when the total number of corporate headquarters in the city will have shrunk to nothing. By that time Jones will have already served a term as Governor and will have been re-elected for a second term in the US Senate. If, at that time, anybody raises questions about the plight of his former city, Senator Jones will use the opportunity to point out that the city was thriving during his term as Mayor.

One would think that, when it comes to national security, politicians would smarten up fast. After all, a military defeat could be costly, not least to the politicians themselves. But, alas, politicians remain stupid to the very end. For instance, the Oslo accords caused the death of thousands of Israelis. For his role in engineering Oslo, Shimon Peres received a Nobel Peace Prize. For exercising extreme stupidity in tirelessly working to repeat the Oslo debacle, he was elected President of Israel.

Ehud Olmert, the Prime Minister of Israel, is clearly not too bright, even when compared to other politicians. In his opening speech to the winter session of the Knesset, he stated that “Israel must either create an Arab state in Judea, Samaria and Gaza or face a violent demographic struggle.”

If he could think beyond stage one, he would recognize that handing over Judea and Samaria will yield  a more desperate struggle against a highly motivated enemy in control of territory from which to launch a major war. In order to prevent a demographic struggle, great leaders exile the enemy, not their own people.

The rest of the speech was equally embarrassing. Olmert demonstrated that, to his twisted mind, maintaining the Jewish character of Israel isn’t worth a bitter struggle.

Since 9/11 2001 we have been disturbed by the failure of the Bush administration to accept the self evident truth that our number one enemy is Saudi Arabia. See Saudi Caliphate. In dealing with the oil tics, Condi is way out of her league. To us she looks like a teenager who put on her mother’s suit to play pretend global politics. She just does not get the Saudi way of playing the game. In a a Kernel of Evil Bret Stephens writes about the “wonderful” deal Condi negotiated with the Saudis to sell them $20 billion of advanced weaponry.

But whatever direction Saudi Arabia takes in the future, there’s also the question of what the U.S. gets from the arms sale. In an interview Sunday with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice noted that “the Saudi government announced that it’s going to put an embassy in Baghdad, something that we have hoped they would do for quite some time.” The State Department has also tried to entice Saudi Arabia to attend a regional peace conference with Israel later this year.

In fact, the Saudis have not announced their intention to put an embassy in Baghdad, merely their willingness to discuss it with an Iraqi government they have demonized at every turn. They remain similarly equivocal about the conference. It’s an old Saudi ploy. In November 1981, Abdullah, then the kingdom’s deputy prime minister, mooted a “plan” that promised recognition of Israel at a time when he was seeking to buy AWACs radar planes from the Reagan administration. The sale was approved; the plan disappeared.

While visiting Israel last week we witnessed the strange controversy over the Ga-a-va (Pride) Parade in Jerusalem. Two thousand gays and lesbians organized a parade in the world’s only Jewish Holy City. Orthodox Jews who live there decided to stop them. Has there ever been a Gay Pride Parade in a Muslim city? Mecca? How about Teheran? Baghdad? Cairo? Karachi? If you answered no, no, no, no, and no, consider yourself well informed.

We watched an interview with Dana Olmert (on the right in the photo), the Prime Minister’s daughter, a proud Lesbian and militant Jew-hating Lefty committed to an Arab victory in ‘Palestine’. From ynet circa June 2006: PM’s daughter protests Gaza killings

In the interview Dana was the aggressive lesbian. For balance Channel 10 presented a ‘moderate’ lesbian who claimed that the parade can be held in Tel-Aviv, but she wasn’t sure.

Syria is mobilizing for war. Ehud Olmert, the Prime Minister with 3% approval rating, can’t find good reasons to hold on to the Golan and is preparing to surrender it.

In 1973, in the Valley of Tears hundreds of Syrian tanks launched a surprise nighttime attack on a ridge defended by a few tanks of the Oz brigade. The invaders came prepared. They had night vision; the Israelis did not. The defensive line collapsed and the Syrians penetrated deep into the Israeli formations. The Israeli commander reported that he was amazed at how bravely and skillfully the Syrians fought. He realized that he was facing annihilation and there was no immediate help coming. A strange calm came over him as he thought, “I am stronger than they are; I am braver than they are”. He communicated to the other tanks commanders, “I’m moving back to my original position; we must hold the original line; everybody who can, move up with me!” Read more >

… You defeat them by hunting them down and bringing them to justice. Another way you do that is by offering them a different form of government … blah, blah, blah
