The Jihad Sheikh with his minions at the University of Haifa

Well, things were already looking disgraceful and embarrassing enough for the University of Haifa, thanks to the approval of the heads of the university to allow the Jihad Sheikh, Raed Salah, the head of the Islamofascist movement among Israeli Moslems, to speak on campus this past week. The Jihad Sheikh there called for Arab students to become “shaheed martyrs,” code for suicide bombers. Moreover, the university had also given official instructions to the guards present to prevent Jewish students from entering the lecture hall in which the Jihad Sheikh was speaking. The Jewish student protesters present described the behavior of the guards, following university instructions, as the conducting of a “selection” (the name for the separation out of Jews done by the Germans). But then the university got itself in even deeper when it issued a statement that denied altogether that the Jewish students had been barred from entering the lecture hall or that the university officials had given any such instructions to the guards. From 2005 to 2009, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran, worked feverishly to build a couple of nukes with which to kill six million Jews in Israel. I would hereby like to nominate Professor Carlo Strenger, from the department of psychology at Tel Aviv University, for the Philistine of the Year Award.

Strenger is a far-leftist hater of Israel and Zionism who regularly explains to Haaretz readers why Israel is a horrible state unworthy of existence, but the Hamas is really misunderstood (A collection of Strengerism can be found here). But today Strenger goes beyond that to support hooligan violence against Orthodox Jews! Really!

The background to this is the continuing campaign of intimidation and violence by ultra-secularists in Ramat Aviv, where Strenger lives and where his Tel Aviv University is located, against Orthodox Jews. An impressive array of intellectuals and activists participated in an international conference on the collapse of Europe, the rise of Islam and the consequences to the Untited States. The conference was held on June 10-11, 2007 at Pepperdine University. It was organized by American Freedom Alliance and Council for Democracy and Tolerance.

The conference list of panelists included Mark Steyn, author of America Alone (best book of 2006), Ayaan Hirsi Ali, ex-Muslim member of Dutch parliament and author of Infidel, Hugh Hewitt, radio talk show host and author of Blog and A Mormon in the White House, Daniel Pipes, Director of Middle East Forum, and Ibn Warraq, ex-Muslim author of Defending the West and Why I Am Not a Muslim.

Nancy Pelosi’s Congress is three times as popular today as Ehud Olmert was in 2007. A Rasmussen tracking poll puts the percentage of people who think Congress is doing a good or excellent job at just 9%. This is the first time since measurement began that Congress’ approval dropped into single digits. Prince Ehud survived in 2007 and Queen Nancy does not appear to be in any danger in 2008. We previously wrote about the Golan here and here, but with Olmert’s confirmation that he has agreed to cede at least part, if not most, of the territory to Syria, it is time to re-visit the subject.

OK, so Olmert is a retard, but how little must he think of the Israeli people to try this fast one. The agreement calls for Syria to utter a cleverly crafted phrase, like “we denounce all terrorism” in exchange for the return of territory legitimately won by Israel in war – the time honored method of land transfer.

Every piece of land belonging to somebody today has at some time in the past been acquired through conquest. America is probably the only country to have paid for land in cash (Louisiana and Alaska). Historically, land has always been paid for in blood. That is just how it is. Anybody who tells you differently is either naive or lying. Anybody who tells you that times have changed is a fool or worse – a Liberal.

The Golan is strategically important. It gives Israel the high grounds overlooking Syria.

President Bush reacted energetically to the 9/11 attacks on America and delivered serious tax cuts early in his first term. Other than that, he demonstrated criminal incompetence on all issues important to the Conservative movement. From borders, language and culture to fiscal responsibility, he made things worse. He appointed Liberals to all senior positions, including Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense, he betrayed the economy, he betrayed Israel, and now…

Fiscal Conservatives have accused him of spending like a drunken sailor, hastily apologizing to drunken sailors, who could not possibly spend as irresponsibly as the Bush administration.

Evangelicals have been alienated by the administration’s betrayal of Jewish rights in the Holy Land. His personal friendship with the Saudi oil tics has had the same effect as rubbing salt on open wounds. His inability to recognize the global Jihad and effectively combat it will be his most devastating legacy.

His stealth attempt to grant amnesty to illegal aliens and open the borders would have laid the foundation for the eventual disappearance of the United States. Needless to say, it angered everyone. A massive Conservative grass roots mobilization stopped the nonsense, temporarily.

Family Values and Judicial Conservatives vigorously opposed the appointment of a Liberal Bush crony, Harriet Miers, to the Supreme Court. His previous appointee, John Roberts, was a moderate originalist with many Liberal friends to provide character references. Conservatives managed to kill the Miers nomination and forced Bush to select a true Conservative originalist, Sam Alito, whose elderly mother lovingly stated on camera, “Of course he is against abortions. I raised him well.”

One can go on and on, but let’s get to the latest demonstration of Bush’s incompetence and Liberal tendencies. Evidently, the President is now ready to embrace Al Gore’s massive government power grab and vast erosion of individual freedoms, under the guise of combating ‘temperature change’. The Washington Times reports that Bush is preparing a global warming initiative. Idiot!

She said the administration’s discussions, both internally and with Congress, are building toward an expected debate on climate change in the Senate in June and toward the next G-8 meeting in July, when the U.S. would like to have a more specific conversation about goals for cutting greenhouse-gas emissions.

At the end of this week, U.S. officials will be in Paris for a meeting with officials from other major economic powers, where climate change is expected to be on the table. Sources in the administration and in Congress say this meeting explains the White House push.
