The world is wringing its hands over the fate of Libya.  It is seeking a peaceful logical solution to the regime that will govern Libya in the post-Kaddafi era.

Being a helpful sort of guy, and what with Purim coming up fast, I know just the proper and just solution.  I would like to place on the international table the obvious, most logical, and most justified solution to the question of Libyan governance.  Control of Libya should be returned at once to the natural and rightful owners of Libya, the people who controlled it before it was invaded and occupied by the Arab military hordes.

Libya should be returned to the Jews.

Back in the 1990s I invented the term, “Bibi Peresyahu” to refer to the prime Ministership of Bibi Netanyahu back then. At the time, Netanyahu was trying to outdo the Israeli Labor Party and Shimon Peres in pursuing the Oslo “peace process.” Netanyahu made concessions even Peres had refused to make, like turning Hebron over to the savages.

He signed the “Wye Accord,” after which I dubbed him the Wye’s Man of Chelm. In domestic matters he refused to do anything serious to break up the bank cartel or reform the capital market. His main concern was to be liked by the Israeli leftist media, and that concern caused him to shift to the Left. The same concern later led Ariel Sharon by the nose to the Left and to capitulation to Hamas in Gaza.

Well, Bibi Peresyahu is back. He keeps freezing Jewish building in Jerusalem and its surroundings. A few days ago he announced his backing for a series of anti-economic populist policy measures favored by the ultra-Left, like raising the minimum wage and subsidizing water consumption. Yesterday Peresyahu came out AGAINST any parliamentary investigation of leftwing seditious anti-Israel NGOs operating in Israel. When asked why he is suddenly against this very popular proposal he had earlier supported, Netanyahu without blinking replied, “But what will the goyim (nations) say.” Really. Never mind that the nations have lots of similar laws operating in their own countries for NGOs receiving foreign funding. In the US, any group getting foreign funding has to register as a lobbyist for a foreign entity.

Maybe Bibi can attend the J Street conference so that the Left will like him more?

Not my usual cynical stuff, and on a different target. But I found the following story in the NY Daily News very moving. But first, take a look of the photo of the victim on the left. That is right, dressed evidently in Lubavitch garb, the victim is a black Jamaican Jew, probably a convert (although that is not made clear in the story).

I guess I found the story touching in part for this reason. If indeed he was a Chabadnik, he may well have moved to Israel, where he would be denounced by leftist anti-Semites all over the world and also in the Israeli seditious far Left for being a racist Zionist and a perpetuator of apartheid Zionism. He might have joined the IDF paratroopers, bashed in some terrorist skulls, kicked leftist butt near Bil’in at the security fence, thrown a pie into the faces of some tenured traitors. All the while being denounced for being a racist Jew. If he had lived.

Answer:  Any day in which Ophir Pines resigns from politics is an Israeli national holiday!

Ophir Pines is a politician whom I really love to hate. He is an obnoxious leftist McCarthyist. He led the Labor Party’s campaign against freedom of speech for anti-Oslo dissidents. After Rabin’s assassination, Pines led each and every Labor Party attempt to indict members of the political opposition for supposedly being collectively guilty of Rabin’s death, and he led the camp claiming that exercise of freedom of speech by Right-wingers was what ultimately produced the Rabin assassination. He repeatedly filed court petitions against Righists expressing opinions.

Pines was considered until yesterday, when he resigned from the Knesset, to be the up-and-coming Young Turk, the Bonnie Prince Churly, and next-generation-leader of the Labor Party. He had come in at the very top of Labor Party internal primaries. This – in spite of his total absence of charisma and his lack of any sense of humor. Pines looks like a young Montgomery Burns, and has yet to be seen cracking a smile.

“Pines” is actually a common name for German Jews. It is however pronounced in German and Hebrew, and I kid you not about this, “Penis.” Some members of the clan spell the name as it sounds, making their peace with the jokes. Others, including young Ophir, prefer the PG spelling – PINES. In any case, his name is pronounced Offer Penis, and for many years I respond to anyone mentioning his name with, “Sure, just not my own.” Wouldn’t it be cool if he had married a woman named Fanny Prostate?

So just what induced Prince Penis to abandon the Labor Party? I think the answer is pretty clear.  Rodents never stay aboard sinking ships. The Labor Party has sunk from a hegemonic single-party ruling class, running the state all on its own, to squeezing into the last Knesset as the 4^th largest power. It is possibly about to split into two even smaller splinters.

The Labor Party has very simply been completely wrong about nearly every single matter on which it has taken a public stand. First and foremost, of course, the Labor Party bears direct responsibility for the Oslo debacle and all the existential damage it has done to the Jewish people. Friends, I have at long last come to a realization. The only way to bring stability and peace to the Middle East is by creating a new independent state in Palestine and moving all of the Palestinians into it.

I am of course referring to Palestine, Texas.

Yes, there is a town in Texas named Palestine and frankly I think it would be a wonderful place to erect a homeland for Palestinians. The weather is not all that different from that in the area of the Land of Israel referred to incorrectly by some people as Palestine.

Moreover, there are oodles of advantages to moving all of the Palestinians to Palestine (Texas).

First, their water problems would be solved. Palestine, Texas is home to the lovely Lake Palestine. Second, the largest employer in Palestine is the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Officer Shahar Mizrachi is the latest victim of the leftist assault on Israel via the court system. Officer Mizrachi is a hero. He should have been awarded a medal for stopping a violent car thief. Instead, a politicized court and a politicized judge are sending him to prison for 15 months. There he will sit among the common criminals, including perhaps some he himself apprehended. They will make his life a living hell.

Mizrachi’s crime?  He did his job!

In July 2006, Officer Mizrachi saw a car thief stealing a car in Pardes Hana. It turns out though that the thief was an Arab from nearby Baqa al-Garbiya, one Mahmoud Ganaim. Officer Mizrachi shot the thief, who died from the wound. The thief, Ganaim, tried to stab Mizrachi with a screwdriver before the cop shot him.

But in post-survivalist Israel the court system seems to believe that Arabs should not be expected to obey the law and Jews should never be permitted to stop them from committing crimes. You may recall the farmer from the Negev, Shai Dromi, who shot at three Bedouin thieves trying to steal his sheep and killed one. He was harassed and indicted by the Attorney General and convicted of manslaughter, although recently cleared on appeal.

Just when it seems that there is no expression of academic treason that Israel has not seen and that Ben Gurion University has not defended as “pursuing peace and justice,” along comes Neve Gordon, the head of the University’s politics department, and issues a call in the Los Angeles Times for a world boycott of Israel. He says it is in order to save Israel. And a growing movement among Jews who do NOT hate themselves is organizing to boycott Ben Gurion University in response.

For years I have been claiming in postings, blog entries and articles that the ex-Chief Justice of Israel, Aharon Barak (not related to Ehud) is an anti-democratic anti-Israel leftist extremist moonbat. Barak was the leading proponent in Israel of the anti-democratic doctrine of “judicial activism,” which should be called judicial tyranny, under which non-elected judges make up laws and dictate governmental policy about just about everything. Barak also insisted that anyone who happens to sit on the Israeli Supreme Court should issue rulings based on “enlightened opinion,” which means whatever Aharon Barak personally thinks in any given week, and that those same sitting judges should perpetually select other judges by themselves to sit on the Supreme Court and other courts, regardless of what the Israeli voter wants.

When I would slap around Barak in my postings, many people objected that I was showing disrespect to Israel’s Chief Justice, and was exaggerating his anti-democratic tendencies. The Jihad Sheikh with his minions at the University of Haifa

Well, things were already looking disgraceful and embarrassing enough for the University of Haifa, thanks to the approval of the heads of the university to allow the Jihad Sheikh, Raed Salah, the head of the Islamofascist movement among Israeli Moslems, to speak on campus this past week. The Jihad Sheikh there called for Arab students to become “shaheed martyrs,” code for suicide bombers. Moreover, the university had also given official instructions to the guards present to prevent Jewish students from entering the lecture hall in which the Jihad Sheikh was speaking. The Jewish student protesters present described the behavior of the guards, following university instructions, as the conducting of a “selection” (the name for the separation out of Jews done by the Germans). But then the university got itself in even deeper when it issued a statement that denied altogether that the Jewish students had been barred from entering the lecture hall or that the university officials had given any such instructions to the guards.
