Obama: “Jerusalem Belongs to Arab Invaders. Jews Belong in Ghetto.” Netanyahu Disagrees

(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu issued a sharp response Sunday to United States pressure to stop Jews from building in parts of Jerusalem claimed by the Palestinian Authority. Israel’s sovereignty in Jerusalem is “not up for debate,” Netanyahu said, and Jews are permitted to build in any part of the capital city, as are Arabs.

Netanyahu implied that the U.S. request was racist, saying before the weekly Cabinet meeting, “Imagine what would happen if Jews were forbidden to live or to buy apartments in certain parts of London, New York, Paris or Rome. There would be an international outcry.”

State Department Supports Arab Squatter Rights, Judenfri Jerusalem

(IsraelNN.com) With the Obama administration turning the corkscrews upon Israeli sovereignty in its capital, the spotlight focuses once again on the growing Jewish presence in neighborhoods such as Shimon HaTzaddik. Arab squatters face eviction this week.

The U.S. State Department has made an unprecedented demand upon its ally Israel to stop lawful construction in its capital – specifically, at a property owned by activist Dr. Irving Moskowitz in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. The municipal housing plan calls for the site of the Shepherd Hotel to become a 20-unit apartment complex. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and other government ministers have categorically rebuffed the American ultimatum, as did Ambassador Michael Oren when he was called to the State Department to hear the U.S. demand.

A Look at What Motivates Jihadis in Southern Thailand

abdul_at_schoolAs he relates it, Adul’s entry into the insurgent movement was an almost seamless extension of his religious studies and his search for perfection in faith and practice. His origins are humble enough. His family are rubber farmers, and he is the first in his family to enter higher religious studies, for which his parents are very proud.

A studious boy, he entered the prestigious Samphanwitthaya religious school in neighbouring Cho Airong district, and from there gained a scholarship to study at the famous Thammawithaya school in Yala province, where he gained a diploma, reaching the 14th level of Islamic studies.

He wanted to continue his studies in Egypt, but his path was interrupted by events.

Adul recalls that he entered the “movement” in 1994 at the time he was studying at Samphanwitthaya school. His recruiter was a religious teacher at the school, but all communication with this teacher was private, taking place outside official class time.

Jakarta Jihad Targets Business Executives

WESTERN executives attending a high-level business breakfast were deliberately targeted by the suicide bomber responsible for six of the nine deaths in Friday’s twin attacks on Jakarta hotels.

The Marriott hotel bomber, who is believed to be the classmate of a terrorist responsible for the fatal attack on the same building six years ago, walked into a lounge where 19 businessmen were meeting and detonated two bombs, one in a backpack and another in a suitcase on wheels.

He stood in the doorway and asked the group of elite businessmen gathered there for breakfast: “Did anyone request a laptop?”

Then the room exploded into blackness. Three Australians – mining executive Garth McEvoy, diplomat Craig Senger and human resources manager Nathan Verity – and one other Westerner were killed by the blasts, along with an Indonesian hotel employee. Three more died in an explosion at the nearby Ritz-Carlton hotel minutes later.

The clinical execution of the attacks, penetrating the hotels’ security and targeting a specific meeting, contrasted with previous attacks in which larger numbers of Indonesians had been killed.

DNA Tests Confirm: Mumbai Jihadis Came From Pakistan

By matching DNA samples of the terrorists with their fathers, Pakistani investigators have established the identity of Babar as son of Shahabuddin of Multan. After the tests done by Pakistan’s National Forensic Science Agency, Abdur Rahman Chota has turned out to be Mohammad Altaf, son of Nazir Ahmad of Vehari in Pakistan.

India had also given digital fingerprints of Babar and Abdur Rahman, Kasab and four others. The fingerprints of the remaining three could not be obtained because their hands were badly burnt.

After landing in Mumbai, Babar had headed for Nariman House from where he called up a TV channel, posing as a member of Deccan Mujahideen — a concoction meant to mask the involvement of Pakistani terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba. Babar had grabbed the mobile phone — 9819464530 — of Holtzberg Gavriel, a resident of Nariman House. Gavriel was among those who were killed by Babar and his accomplice at Nariman House.

Abdur Rahman had headed for Oberoi Trident Hotel where he snatched the phone of Rita Sanjay Agarwal of Malabar Hill, Mumbai. Rita was later killed by the terrorists.

Besides matching the DNA samples, the identities of Kasab, Babar and Abdur Rahman was established also with the help of records of families and schools, statements of family members and voter list.

The finding about the nationalities of the three terrorists also validates the statement given by Kasab, the sole attacker to have been nabbed by Mumbai police on the fateful night.

Obama Pressures India to Ignore Jihad Terror From Pakistan

NEW DELHI | Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton denied Saturday that the United States pressured the Indian government into making concessions to Pakistan last week that reversed a previous linkage between peace talks and fighting terrorism.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh agreed during a Thursday meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, Yousuf Raza Gilani, on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Egypt that five-year-old peace negotiations between the two nuclear rivals “should not be linked” to Pakistan’s actions against terrorists.
