Gay Pride ParadeNow, here’s a real conundrum. To march or not to march? We have been invited to march with Kulanu in the Toronto annual Gay Pride Parade.

On the one hand they are marching in support of Israel. On the other hand, the Gay community is a bunch of not too bright wusses.

Gays from “Palestine” routinely seek sanctuary in Israel, yet everywhere their brethren march with the Jew-haters. Under Sharia, the Islamists would cut every Gay throat to the last man, woman or thing in a Mecca minute, yet the Gays support Hamas. What is wrong with these people?

March in Solidarity with Kulanu Toronto in This Year’s Gay Pride Parade!

In response to the anti-Israel group (Queers Against Israel Apartheid – QuAIA) that is being allowed to participate in the Gay Pride Parade this year, you are asked to come out and support Kulanu Toronto, the only Jewish LGBT group, by marching with them in the parade. Regardless of whether you fully agree with the policies of the Israeli government, or whether you are gay or straight, you are encouraged to march. Bring your Israeli and Canadian flags, water bottles, hats, and sunscreen, and come line up with Kulanu members at 1pm at the corner of Bloor and Church St. (look for a Kulanu Toronto banner and Israeli flags) on Sunday, June 28th. The march will go till 4pm. Let’s march together – B’yachad. Synagogue members (gay and straight) are welcome to march as a group with Kulanu. For more details and to sign up to march, please contact Justine Apple, Coordinator of Kulanu Toronto, at justela@hotmail.com.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

B’nai Brith Canada urges LGBT community not to allow their agenda to be hijacked by anti-Israel agitators

TORONTO, May 20, 2009 – B’nai Brith Canada has called on members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community to voice their public opposition to Israel apartheid campaigns that seek to delegitimize the Jewish State and its supporters here at home. The Jewish human rights organization issued this call in the wake of an event being convened this week in Toronto by a group calling itself “Queers Against Israeli Apartheid”. The organization also noted with concern that a featured speaker at this event is the 2009 Pride Grand Marshal.

“We are in the midst of a global propaganda campaign aimed at vilifying Israel that has penetrated diverse Canadian arenas,” said Frank Dimant, B’nai Brith Canada’s Executive Vice President. “Echoes of this insidious campaign have been felt at the union level, on campuses, on our city streets, and now appear to be making their way into the LGBT community.

“It is the height of irony to single out democratic Israel in this fashion when it is the only country in the Middle East that guarantees the fundamental freedoms of all its citizens without distinction. In stark contrast, the rights of the LGBT community in neighboring Arab countries are routinely trampled on.

“Members of Canada’s LGBT community who are constantly battling discrimination should be mindful not to become part and parcel of the anti-Israel machinery that continues to churn out hateful and divisive propaganda.”
