According to Jewish law a child inherits the religion of its mother. According to Islamic Shariah law, a child belongs to the father.

The Protection of the Lineage (in Islam)

The child is an extension of his father and the bearer of his characteristics. During his lifetime he is the joy of his father’s eyes, while after his death he represents a continuation of his existence and an embodiment of his immortality. He inherits his features and stature as well as his mental qualities and traits, both the good and the bad, the beautiful as well as the ugly, from his father. The child is a part of his father’s heart and a piece of his body.

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala has ordained marriage and has forbidden adultery so that paternity may be established without doubt or ambiguity and that the child may be referred to his father and the father to his sons and daughters. Through marriage a woman is reserved for one man; it is haram for her to be unfaithful to him or to let anyone else have access to what belongs exclusively to him. Thus, every child born to her in wedlock will be her husband’s child, without any need for recognition or public proclamation of the fact by him or a corresponding claim on the part of the mother. “The child is attributed to the one on whose bed it is born,” (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim. Literally: “The child belongs to the bed.”) declared the Prophet of Islam (peace be on him).

Barack Hussein Obama’s father was a Muslim. Therefore, by Muslim law, he is a Muslim. He may believe that joining a Black hate group that calls itself The Trinity Church of Chicago makes him a Christian. Should the fact that Obama was born a Muslim make a difference to Jews? Not if his life demonstrates an affinity for the Jewish people and deeply held Christian values.

No one can get into a man’s head, but he grew up in Indonesia. He soaked up the local Islamic culture, just like a boy growing up in Texas would have absorbed American culture. Obama formed his early concepts of truth, justice, and fairness in an Islamic environment, where Jews were perceived as lower than pigs and monkeys. Can he empathize with Jews? Does he believe that American Civilization is superior to others? Would these questions offend sensitive Jewish leaders?

An Internet email campaign, informing recipients that Obama is a Muslim, has been particularly targeted at the Jewish and Evangelical communities. Leaders of the Jewish community, fearful of being branded racist or Islamophobic, rushed to chastise those who “use hateful falsehoods” to distort Obama’s religious beliefs. How do they know what his religious beliefs really are? More importantly, is identifying a man as Muslim a hateful act? How about “outing” a man as a Jew? Muslims from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and CAIR have been quick to make lists of Jews in positions of power in America. Why do they make such lists? Maybe it is because Jews are likely to favor fellow Jews. The CAIR gang is right! That’s precisely why Barack’s connection to Islam and/or a hateful church, is relevant.

Listen up Jewish leaders! Barack Hussein Obama’s life demonstrates a definite anti-Jewish, even Antisemitic, streak. Obama is not good for the Jews!

Here is the letter signed by the enlightened Jewish elders.

“Candidates for our nation’s highest office must be prepared for debate and challenges to their public record. However, we must have zero tolerance for the slightest traces of bigotry and hatred in our Nation’s political discourse” -Rabbi Marvin Hier

An Open Letter to the Jewish Community:

As leaders of the Jewish community, none of whose organizations will endorse or oppose any candidate for President, we feel compelled to speak out against certain rhetoric and tactics in the current campaign that we find particularly abhorrent. Of particular concern, over the past several weeks, many in our community have received hateful emails that use falsehood and innuendo to mischaracterize Senator Barack Obama’s religious beliefs and who he is as a person.

These tactics attempt to drive a wedge between our community and a presidential candidate based on despicable and false attacks and innuendo based on religion. We reject these efforts to manipulate members of our community into supporting or opposing candidates.

Attempts of this sort to mislead and inflame voters should not be part of our political discourse and should be rebuffed by all who believe in our democracy. Jewish voters, like all voters, should support whichever candidate they believe would make the best president. We urge everyone to make that decision based on the factual records of these candidates, and nothing less.

Sincerely,

Barack Hussein Obama: Once a Muslim, Always A Muslim

By Debbie Schlussel

UPDATE, 01/25/07: Barack Hussein Obama’s alleged debunking of Islamic background raises even MORE questions.

UPDATE, 01/19/07: Looks like Hillary Clinton’s camp agrees with me and has dug up more info that confirms my suspicions about Obama and his Muslim background, including his attendance at a Wahabbi (ie., extremist Sunni) Madrassa (Islamic religious academy). Hillary’s camp says Obama is covering up his Muslim past. Why?

Many months ago, readers began asking me whether Barack Obama is Muslim. Since he identifies as a Christian, I said, “no,” and responded that he was not raised by his Kenyan father.

But, then, I decided to look further into Obama’s background. His full name–as by now you have probably heard–is Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. Hussein is a Muslim name, which comes from the name of Ali’s son–Hussein Ibn Ali. And Obama is named after his late Kenyan father, the late Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., apparently a Muslim.

And while Obama may not identify as a Muslim, that’s not how the Arab and Muslim Streets see it. In Arab culture and under Islamic law, if your father is a Muslim, so are you. And once a Muslim, always a Muslim. You cannot go back. In Islamic eyes, Obama is certainly a Muslim. He may think he’s a Christian, but they do not.

barackobama.jpgislamiccrescent.jpgThen, there are the other items in his background. As best-selling author Scott Turow wrote in Salon, Obama went to a Muslim school for two years in Indonesia. His mother, Anna, married an Indonesian man (likely another Muslim, as Indonesia is Muslim-dominated and has the largest Islamic population in the world). And Obama has a “born-again” affinity for the nation of his Muslim father, Kenya, and his Kenyan sister. (Although Kenya is largely Christian, it has a fast-growing Muslim population that has engaged in a good deal of religious violence and riots against Christians. And Kenyan courts will apply Sharia law, when the participants are Muslim.) Wrote Turow:

Obama’s father died in a traffic accident in Nairobi in 1982, but while Obama was working in Chicago, he met his Kenyan sister, Auma, a linguist educated in Germany who was visiting the United States. When she returned to Kenya in 1986 to teach for a year at the University of Nairobi, Obama finally made the trip to his father’s homeland he had long promised himself. There, he managed to fully embrace a heritage and a family he’d never fully known and come to terms with his father, whom he’d long regarded as an august foreign prince, but now realized was a human being burdened by his own illusions and vulnerabilities.

So, even if he identifies strongly as a Christian, and even if he despised the behavior of his father (as Obama said on Oprah); is a man who Muslims think is a Muslim, who feels some sort of psychological need to prove himself to his absent Muslim father, and who is now moving in the direction of his father’s heritage, a man we want as President when we are fighting the war of our lives against Islam? Where will his loyalties be?

Is that even the man we’d want to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency, if Hillary Clinton offers him the Vice Presidential candidacy on her ticket (which he certainly wouldn’t turn down)?

NO WAY, JOSE . . . Or, is that, HUSSEIN?
