As Liberalism and Islamism spread and mingle across the globe, reality increasingly resembles a Franz Kafka tale of entangled plots, where nothing is as it seems and simple statements hold unexpected meanings. If Kafka was alive today, he wouldn’t have to make up stuff and anything he did make up would be printed as fact in the New York Times.

Islamists have sold Liberals, particularly elites, on two key propositions, cleverly designed to confuse and weaken the infidels. The first proposition is that offending Islam, the Koran, Muhammad or Muslims is somehow illegal, immoral, or otherwise forbidden. The second is that Muslims are the sole arbiters of what is offensive. Having previously internalized the notion that going through life without pain is a human right, Liberals easily bought into the Muslim corollaries. Liberals are always looking to add to their extensive arsenal of vapid philosophies.

In Liberal circles, offending Christians will get you an invitation to a dinner party. Offending Jews will get you a sideways glance and an approving smile. Offending Muslims will get you charged. Think we are exaggerating? Yesterday, in a “twilight zone” like episode, the very Liberal Archbishop of Canterbury called for a new law to punish “thoughtless or cruel” words (that offend Muslims).

Ezra Levant was brought up on charges before the Kafkaesque Canadian Human Rights Commission for having published amusing Danish cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad. Ezra is smart and passionate in defending his right to offend.

Universal guilt over Nazi atrocities temporarily drove anti-Semitism underground in the West. Swarming Muslim hordes, armed with Muhammad’s message of hate, brought it back to the surface. Sebastian Sellam, 23, was a popular disc jockey at a hot Parisian night club called Queen. At about 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday November 19, the young man known as DJ Lam C (a reverse play on his surname) left the apartment he shared with his parents in a modest building in of Paris’ 10th arrondissement near la Place Colonel Fabien, heading to work as usual. In the underground parking lot, a Muslim neighbor slit Sellam’s throat twice, according to the Rosenpress interview. His face was completely mutilated with a fork. Even his eyes were gouged out.

Following the crime, Rosenpress correspondent Alain Azria reported, Sellam’s mother said the Muslim perpetrator mounted the stairs, his hands still bloody, and announced his crime. “I have killed my Jew. I will go to heaven,” he reportedly said. The alleged murderer’s family was well known for rabid anti-Semitism, Mrs. Sellam reportedly told Rosenpress, a point confirmed by the victim’s brother. Within the previous year, Sellam’s mother reportedly said, the family found a dead rooster outside their apartment door with its throat slit, and their Mezuzah was ripped from their door post. Leaving dead roosters is reportedly a traditional warning of impending murder.

Students at the Mekor Chaim High School Yeshiva in Kfar Etzion after Thursday’s incident in which two terrorists infiltrated the yeshiva and were killed by counselors.

Every time a high school shooting incident occurs in the United States or Canada, somebody is bound to suggest that maybe, just maybe, a few “specially trained” teachers should be allowed to carry guns on school property. Unfortunately, such talk vanishes faster than tears stream down a grieving mother’s face. Enlightened Liberal elites are above understanding a simple and basic fact, “taking guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens leaves criminals the only ones with guns.”

Olmert and Abbas joined forces to kill one Israeli border policeman and wound a female officer. The terrorists who did the shooting are members of the Abbas’s Fatah gang. The guns were supplied by Prince Ehud.

A border police officer was killed and another female officer was wounded Thursday night in a shooting attack near the entrance to the Shuafat refugee camp in northern Jerusalem.

Both were wounded in the shooting and the officer died after resuscitation attempts failed.

IDF sources said that terrorists had approached the entrance to Shuafat by foot and opened fire at a group of Israelis nearby and then fled the scene. Military forces and Border Policemen immediately dispatched search parties to catch the gunmen, and a helicopter assisted the searchers.

The Battalions of Struggle and Return, a previously anonymous offshoot of Fatah’s Aksa Martyrs’ Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack, Israel Radio reported. The group added that the attackers managed to flee the scene.

Tawfik Hamid was born in Egypt to what he describes as a secular family. Islam was always part of life, but as he grew up he became increasingly involved with the Salafi movement. Reading the Koran regularly made him want to do Jihad and conquer infidels. He was well on his way to Shahida (martyrdom), but pulled back in the nick of time. Through marriage a woman is reserved for one man; it is haram for her to be unfaithful to him or to let anyone else have access to what belongs exclusively to him. Thus, every child born to her in wedlock will be her husband’s child, without any need for recognition or public proclamation of the fact by him or a corresponding claim on the part of the mother. “The child is attributed to the one on whose bed it is born,” (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim. Literally: “The child belongs to the bed.”) declared the Prophet of Islam (peace be on him).

Barack Hussein Obama’s father was a Muslim. Therefore, by Muslim law, he is a Muslim. He may believe that joining a Black hate group that calls itself The Trinity Church of Chicago makes him a Christian. Should the fact that Obama was born a Muslim make a difference to Jews? Not if his life demonstrates an affinity for the Jewish people and deeply held Christian values.

They purged the church from public policy, promoted a new form of pagan spirituality, and inserted the authority of the state into every nook and cranny of daily life. The Nazis declared war on smoking, supported abortion, euthanasia, and gun control. They loathed the free market, provided generous pensions for the elderly, and maintained a strict racial quota system in their universities-where campus speech codes were all the rage. The Nazis led the world in organic farming and alternative medicine. Hitler was a strict vegetarian, and Himmler was an animal rights activist.

Do these striking parallels mean that today’s liberals are genocidal maniacs, intent on conquering the world and imposing a new racial order? Not at all. Yet it is hard to deny that modern progressivism and classical fascism shared the same intellectual roots. We often forget, for example, that Mussolini and Hitler had many admirers in the United States. W.E.B. Du Bois was inspired by Hitler’s Germany, and Irving Berlin praised Mussolini in song. Many fascist tenets were espoused by American progressives like John Dewey and Woodrow Wilson, and FDR incorporated fascist policies in the New Deal.

The Bush administration expects a “peace” agreement to be signed before it leaves office January 20, 2009 at high noon. Abbas and Olmert will negotiate to resolve the core issues to Bush’s satisfaction.

PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas announced Sunday that Israel and the PA would begin negotiations over the “core issues” of the conflict, including Jerusalem, on Monday. The talks will be held between Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and PA negotiator Ahmed Qureia (Abu Ala).Official sources in Jerusalem confirmed the report.

Abbas said the talks would revolve around six issues: “Jerusalem, the settlements, the Palestinian refugees, borders, security and water sources.” He added: “If we reach agreement on these issues, you could say we have an agreement.”

Jewish refugees will not be on the agenda; neither will Arab settlements. The Palestinian indoctrination machine that breeds a new generation of Jew-killers every 16 years is definitely off limits.
