How dumb is Olmert, really? Dumb enough to give away Gaza, Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. Dumb enough to demand in return that the PA accept Israel as a Jewish state.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert intends to demand that the Palestinian Authority accept Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state in upcoming negotiations. This will be Israel’s precondition for any further negotiations with the PA, according to Channel 2 TV.

The report said that by making this simple demand, Olmert will be forcing the PA to give up its hope of making Israel accept an Arab influx into its borders (the “right of return” of “refugees”). If the PA accepts the condition, it will become that much simpler for Olmert to make concessions of his own.

So, he is just tricking them. Once they accept that Israel is a Jewish state, he can shower more goodies on them. What is left to concede? Tel Aviv?

Turns out the Prime Minister is not only dumb, he is a dumb crook. The idiot couldn’t even take a bribe without getting caught. Israeli police raided 20 offices to collect evidence against the crook.

One hundred policemen raided some 20 government and other offices Sunday morning, in search of evidence in the investigations against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Among the offices under search were the Postal Authority, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Israel Lands Authority, the Jerusalem Municipality, and private offices and residences.

Olmert is being investigated by police regarding four sets of suspicions, and the police are searching for evidence having to do with all of them. The four are:

Olmert’s purchase of a luxury apartment on Cremeiux St. in Jerusalem at a discount of at least $330,000, allegedly in exchange for his influence in the Jerusalem municipality on behalf of the contractor;

Olmert’s alleged intervention on behalf of two friends during the government’s privatization of Bank Leumi;

Political appointments by Olmert in the Small Businesses Authority;

The Investment Center case, for which State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss has recommended that Olmert be indicted for his intervention in a case involving his friend, former partner and current lawyer Uri Messer.

While Olmert is lost in Condi’s Wonderland, the Kassams keep raining down on the Jews of Sderot and the Israeli Cabinet Ministers are yapping away like a bunch of yentas.

Three Kassams were fired at Israel Sunday morning, with one of them landing near Kibbutz Zikim and setting the cowshed on fire; seven cows were killed and four others were injured.

Saturday evening, two Kassams were fired towards Sderot, landing south of the city and causing no casualties. An IDF force attacked a terrorist cell firing Kassam rockets, and reported hits.

Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann and Defense Minister Ehud Barak have come out in favor of the government’s right to decide on sanctions against Gaza – and against Attorney General Menachem Mazuz’s decision to order them revoked.

Speaking at the Cabinet meeting Sunday morning, Friedmann said that Mazuz was not authorized to hold up the government’s decision to respond to ongoing Kassam rocket attacks by reducing electricity supplies to Gaza. “The Attorney General’s job is to present both sides of each issue,” Friedmann said, “but it is the government’s job to decide. Israel’s foreign relations, including sanctions it places on another state or entity, are given to the government to determine.”

Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said he knows of no other country that supplies electricity to a neighbor that fires rockets upon it. He repeated his opinion that it was a mistake to have left Gaza two years ago.
