A publicly financed madrassa will indeed open in Brooklyn, NY on September 4, 2007, as planned. Demonstrations for and against Islamic indoctrination took place Monday. The Muslim supremacists dubbed all opposition to teaching children to hate Jews, “racism”. Culturally sensitive Jewish city officials welcomed the Islamist overlords. Will these officials be the first to reap the fruits of their appeasement? Unfortunately, not.

A planned Arabic-themed public school in Brooklyn has prompted polarized reactions. Critics warned Monday that students could be “indoctrinated” with radical Islamic beliefs and supporters called such statements “racist.”

The Khalil Gibran International Academy has generated controversy almost from the start. Supporters rallied Monday in favor of the school, gathering in front of the city’s Department of Education. Officials there have said they plan to open the academy on schedule on Sept. 4 despite statements by its vocal critics equating it with a madrassa, an Islamic religious school, and portraying it as a potential radical training ground.

Of course, Mayor Bloomberg supports the madrassa. In a Nazi concentration camp His Honor would have been the guy handing out the towels to the Jews in the shower line. At least the idiot was smart enough to realize that in a Presidential race even the dumbest voters in New York would not vote for him. Bloomberg: ‘Nobody Will Elect Me President’.

On July 25, CBS 2 HD reported that Bloomberg had fired up a new URL, mike2008.com, that linked to his recently re-launched mikebloomberg.com, and set the stage for a potential launching of a full-blown dedicated presidential campaign Web site.

That doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

“Nobody’s going to elect me president of the United States,” he told Dan Rather for a program that will air Tuesday on cable’s HDNet channel. “What I’d like to do is to be able to influence the dialogue. I’m a citizen.”

The billionaire left the Republican Party recently to become an independent, throwing into overdrive the speculation that he will make a run for the White House.
