Via Arutz Sheva, here is a security camera video of an Arab “quiet boy” grabbing the gun of a civilian Israeli guard, shooting him at close range, and then engaging a second guard in a gun battle. All in the narrow streets of “occupied” East Jerusalem. We walked those streets last year and must admit that we were nervous, until we noticed a couple of Israeli soldiers with big guns. Thank God the guard knew what to do!
Police have released closed circuit video footage of the terrorist incident in Jerusalem’s Old City on Friday which clearly shows that the terrorist grabbed a security man’s gun, fired on a security guard from close range, and was not the victim of an execution-style gunshot at close range.
The terrorist’s family, Israeli Arabs from the village of Manda near Haifa, have been saying that their son was just a “quiet boy” and that he was the victim of a premeditated attack by the security guards.
Israeli media have been cooperating with the family, with news site Ynet going so far as to drop the word “terrorist” in their descriptions of the man. Channel 2 TV quoted the claims of an execution-style shooting in their initial reports of the incident, immediately turning the focus of the report against the security guard whose heroism saved the day.
On a scale of 1 to 10 the American Media scores a two and the Israeli Media earns a zero.
Here is what the Old City looks like on a “normal” day.

Here is the Via Dolorosa.

And here is a cute Israeli soldier with a big gun.
