Is Arming the Enemy a Sign of Confidence?

The USA and Israel are currently the only two Western nations engaged in active war. Others have sent troops to Afghanistan and Iraq to show political support, but they do not perceive a threat to their national security. Nothing demonstrates the stupidity of the West more than the willingness of both the USA and Israel to arm the enemy.

First, Israel transfers to the Fatah gang guns that will, without any doubt, be used to kill Jews.

Israel authorized the transfer of 1,000 rifles from Jordan to the security forces of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, Israeli and Palestinian security sources confirmed to a local daily newspaper Wednesday night.

This is the largest arms transfer authorized in recent years, and it is meant to aid forces loyal to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in preventing the possibility of a Hamas challenge and possible takeover similar to that of the Gaza Strip.

The weapons were delivered to the PA security forces three weeks ago following Israeli authorization.

The transfer of the M-16s was kept under strict confidence on both sides, in an effort to prevent any possible leak that could undermine Abbas’ standing.

America Next?

Moderate Conservatives believe that Liberals are misguided but not malicious. They say that when it comes down to survival, Lefties, except for a few loonies, will snap out of it and do what needs to be done to win. Even alarming signs, such as universal support for a Mexican invasion of America via clandestine border crossings, does not clarify the situation for the Moderates.

It is hard to believe that Lefties will keep supporting the Islamist war effort as the deciding moment approaches. Unfortunately, the truth is that they will. Just read about Israel’s enemy within.

The late Rehavam Ze’evi (H.y.d.) wrote in the Hebrew-language Moledet party publication, some 14 years ago, about the menacing phenomenon of the Israeli left-winger, whose daily betrayals embitter the lives of us all. If left unchallenged, he will literally bring us all down together. As it was then, it is more so today.

The Israeli Left remains the single greatest threat to the Jewish people in their homeland. It can be argued that their actions, inactions, their spin and media manipulation, have caused more damage to Israel than those of the PLO and Hamas. It must be remembered that it was the Left that imported these terrorists to our shores through the treacherous Oslo Accords. Their goals, couched in the falsely deluding language of peace and liberalism, are inimical to those very ideals. In fact, their true path lies in the destruction of a sovereign Jewish state in the Land of Israel. It is imperative that we understand the left-wing phenomenon we face in order to decelerate the forces pushing Israel to self-destruct.

Palestinian Narrative

Legacy 2007 · By Mordecai

Allison Hanes reports in the National Post that Canadian universities condemn any Israeli ban. Allison’s choice of words demonstrates how deeply rooted the Palestinian narrative has become in the media and academia. First she misrepresents what the British union of university teachers has actually done.

During the normally quiet months of summer on campus, Canadian university presidents have been near unanimous in their denunciations of a call by Britain’s largest professors’ union to consider a boycott of Israel’s institutions of higher learning.

The British resolution, endorsed at the end of May by 150 of the University and College Union’s more than 120,000 members, suggests that locals consider a freeze on ties with Israeli universities including teacher and student exchanges, attendance at conferences and publication of research papers.

Based on the premise that Israeli universities are complicit in denying Palestinians the right to an education, the union’s proposal — at this point only to discuss such a possibility — has since drawn widespread international condemnation for violating the sacred tenets of academic freedom.

Jewish Refugees?

Occasionally even Congress does something right. Making their way through the House and Senate are two resolutions that would require international discussions mentioning Palestinian refugees to also refer to Jewish refugees from Arab countries. Sadly, even if the resolutions pass, President Bush and Condi, his genius at the State Department, will not let it stand. Can’t upset our friends the Saudis!

The Jerusalem Post reports on the growing support for the Jewish refugees cause.

Groups advocating on behalf of Jewish refugees from Arab countries have stepped up efforts over the last year to bring the issue to the forefront of discussions relating to Middle East refugees.

Last fall, a conference on “rights and redress” for this population launched a campaign in Jerusalem to register all families who lost assets when Jews fled Arab countries following the creation of the State of Israel.

Bush and the Demoncats

Having criticized President Bush for failing to crush the enemy, we are still impressed with the quality of his speeches. He fails to connect the dots all the way to Saudi Arabia, but he is at least taking the fight to Al Qaeda instead of waiting for them to attack.

“Al Qaeda in Iraq is a group founded by foreign terrorists, led largely by foreign terrorists, and loyal to a foreign terrorist leader, Osama bin Laden,” the president said in a speech at an Air Force base in Charleston, S.C.

“They know they’re al Qaeda. The Iraqi people know they are al Qaeda. People across the Muslim world know they are al Qaeda. And there’s a good reason they are called al Qaeda in Iraq. They are al Qaeda. In. Iraq,” he said, making dramatic pauses for emphasis.

Just a day after Democrats held a presidential debate in Charleston in which every candidate rejected the Bush administration’s justification for remaining in Iraq, Mr. Bush laid out his case that the war is the central front in the global battle against Islamic extremism.

Meantime the Demoncats debate a snowman on YouTube and challenge each other to see who can cede more territory faster to the enemy.

Not only did the Dems talk up Al Qaeda, they talked down the stock markets. Their big government schemes would have spooked Lenin into liquidating his portfolio. Raise minimum wage, health care for everyone, compensation for slavery, etc. Next day the Dow Jones lost more than 200 points and the NASDAQ dropped 55.

There were some important questions not settled in the debate. Is Bark Hussein black enough (or is he too Islamic)? Is the Breck Girl (John Edwards) more of a woman than Hillary?

How would you like your daughters to live in a world dominated by the mullahs? To help you decide let’s go On patrol with Iran’s fashion police.

It all starts with one simple sentence, spoken almost in a whisper, but which has a thunderous effect.

A female police officer deployed in Tehran’s latest moral crackdown tells a woman that her manto (overcoat) is too short and infringes Iranian Islamic dress rules.

“Azizam (my dear), good afternoon, if possible could we have a friendly chat, please allow us to have a small chat,” the officer, a graduate of Tehran’s police academy, tells the young woman.

“My dear there is a problem with your manto. Please do not wear this kind of manto. Please wear a longer manto from now on.”

Some are just let go there, but others are escorted to waiting minibuses with dark black tinted window panes and labeled “Guidance Patrol.”

A girl in a short white manto whose long hair was tumbling out the front of her headscarf is taken by the police to one of the minibuses on Vanak Square in central Tehran — an unexpected and unhappy end to her shopping trip.

Another arrested woman is already inside the bus. She begins to cry. “I promise, I promise!”

And the minibus doors slam shut.

Churchill’s Rain Dance

Legacy 2007 · By Mordecai

Yeah! Break out the beer! Controversial professor, pretend Native Indian, and proud Jew-hater, Ward Churchill has been fired today. At 5:30 P.M. the University of Colorado Board of Regents voted 8 to 1 to accept the recommendation of President Hank Brown. To grieve, Churchill and his supporters did a rain dance outside the building and probably put a hex on Brown. We also will be dancing tonight. Hora, anyone?

From Channel 9 News via the Drudge Report: Regents vote to fir Churchill.

“This case was an example not of mistakes, but an effort to falsify history and fabricate history and in the final analysis, this individual did not express regret or apologize,” said Brown. “This is a faculty that has an outstanding reputation and this move today protects that reputation.”

“At the end of the day we had to look at what these three committees had presented to us and what 25 tenured faculty had said and that was really important to all the board members,” said Hayes.

When Churchill arrived for the vote, he was carrying two very long poles, which are a Native American symbol. People with Churchill also brought drums.

About 20 Churchill supporters gathered outside of the building where the meeting took place. Among them was Russell Means, a Native American activist and actor.

Churchill initially arrived around 8 a.m. on Tuesday when the meeting began. He was wearing his signature dark glasses with jeans and a black blazer, and arrived shortly before the meeting. He was surrounded by members of the media as he walked into the University Memorial Center and hoisted himself onto a side counter. As he began cracking jokes his supporters could be seen wearing T-shirts which read “It’s not about scholarship it’s about politics.”

Who Will Win?

The recent military raid on the Red Mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan, demonstrated once again the Islamists’ advantage on the education front. The Imam’s teachings had prepared the young men of the Mosque for Jihad. They fought bravely and died with their leader, Abdur Rashid Ghazi. What kind of curriculum can do such a thing to a young mind? Serge Trifkovic, in his must read book The Sword of the Prophet, says that from early childhood Muslims learn that freedom is incompatible with Islam. Allah predestined all human action. Freedom of action other than what is implicit in complete submission to the will of Allah is a perilous trap.

Our only purpose is the service of Allah (51:56). Freedom is not part of that purpose, anymore than to know God or to be more like God. Men can strive no higher than obeying Allah’s will as revealed by his Prophet. There is no revelation in Islam, meaning revelation of God’s nature, but only of his will and obedience to it. Human imperfection is not subject to improvement in the direction of God, and any such notion is blasphemous to a Muslim. The Sword of the Prophet page 67.

Confronted by secular freedom, such as President Bush has made his mantra, the well trained young Muslim will instinctively rebel. When exposed to the shenanigans of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton he feels repulsion akin to that of an enlightened New Yorker upon watching turbaned Taliban men beating burka clad kneeling women. But unlike the New Yorker who has been trained to accept the oddity from Afghanistan under the ruse of multiculturalism as different but equal morality, the young Muslim has been inculcated with a burning desire to emulate his Prophet.

With Muhammad’s prophetic career so thoroughly marked by blood and warfare, it should be no surprise that the sacred book bequeathed by the Prophet of Islam to the world, the Qur’an, would be similarly violent and intransigent. And it’s true: The Qur’an is unique among the sacred writings of the world in counseling its adherents to make war against unbelievers. The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades, by Robert Spencer, page 19.

Elders of Kofi

The National Post print edition had a great graphic depiction of the Kofi Elders tagged by billionaire Sir Richard Branson and musician Peter Gabriel to run the world. Notice the absence of another loony octogenarian whose extreme leftist record and “appease at all costs” bravery should have made him a shoo-in for the position. We are referring, of course, to Shimon Peres, the new President of Israel. Hard as he tried to make nice with the Jew-haters, he was still too Jewish for this crowd. We reproduce the National Post graphic here to share with our visitors.

A Liberal? Brainless Civil Servant Discovered in France

Humour, Science · By Mordecai

He is not mentally retarded; he is a civil servant. You can work as a civil servant with an IQ of 75?

Man with tiny brain shocks doctors

A man with an unusually tiny brain manages to live an entirely normal life despite his condition, which was caused by a fluid build-up in his skull. Scans of the 44-year-old man’s brain showed that a huge fluid-filled chamber called a ventricle took up most of the room in his skull, leaving little more than a thin sheet of actual brain tissue (see image, right).

“It is hard for me [to say] exactly the percentage of reduction of the brain, since we did not use software to measure its volume. But visually, it is more than a 50% to 75% reduction,” says Lionel Feuillet, a neurologist at the Mediterranean University in Marseille, France.

Feuillet and his colleagues describe the case of this patient in The Lancet. He is a married father of two children, and works as a civil servant.
